Yes No CD player but who wants to write CD's to play in a car stereo these days. It has a USB input so doesn't really need a CD player.

Because I have about a billion cds and no time to rip them.
its not an argument about what format you use but the fact that most have a CD player and this doesn’t, just making it clear.

We bought a very similar model from eBay for £9 delivered - it’s functional to a point but remember that you get what you pay for. Would suggest paying the extra £5-10 for a branded and higher quality product
I have the CD player version; it is a generic Chinese design sold by hundreds of different names. They do everything you ask of them better than many branded designs; mine certainly handles USB and flash drive files a lot better than my hideously expensive Clarion.

Downside is the cheap and nasty audio output; it sounds thin at best, and if you turn it up, the sound "fades" as it doesnt have the power supply behind it to sustain the lower octaves, or the heatsinks to keep the power transistors cool.

If you have a power amp/sub system that accepts high level inputs, then it makes a decent hash of being a "Head" unit, leaving all the power amplification to the sub system.
Cold personally, it's no different to the Kidcia in terms of spec: amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1 and this one is very well reviewed, I've got one myself and it's ideal as a budget option. Plus its a few £ cheaper.
Overall good device but built it microphone is horrible , can't speak while driving only when parked and quiet inside
