This is a great value helmet that's got lots of 5 star reviews, at a super low price. I've been using the helmet for about 5 months now and paid £39.99, I would recommend adding the £19.99 pinlock insert as well as it helps eliminate fogging.

Agrius rage sv gets 4 out of 5 in the sharp test. Given an independent way of testing safety we no longer have to rely on price as a proxy for safety.
Great deal.... I've been riding nearly 20 years now and it makes me laugh how over priced some helmets are, it's definitely one of those paying for the name products. I have owned the very cheapest helmets through to some of the most expensive (Arai's and Shoei's). The more expensive ones do generally have a better finish or more vibrant colours, a nice visor mechanism and perhaps more comfortable but when it comes to safety they all have to meet the same standards.

I tend to go middle of the range with my helmets...say a HJC but less than £200, my days of paying more are long gone. This price for a polycarbonate shell is a bargain, whether you are a helmet brand snob or not you cant deny this is a deal.

A £80 helmet down to 23. You can bet I wouldn't trust that with my life.

Would you trust a £400 helmet reduced to £100?

Depends on what certification it had, more expensive tend to be either DOT or Snell approved as well as ECE.

DOT and SNELL don't neet the legal standard in the EU it has to have 22.05 approval. You rarely see a helmet that carries DOT and 22.05 - different markets.

This helmet has been posted a few times before, but never quite this cheap. I know my helmets and this has 22.05 and so meets the MINIMUM safety standard for sale in the EU. Since the standard is not graduated above minimum it's not entirely true to say there is No benefit in spending a bit more. But 4 sharp stars in impressive at this price.

In my experience a few extra quid will get you far better build quality and the related longevity and durability in use. Genuinely scratch resistant visors, long lasting visor mechanisms, sound proofing, aerodynamics, ventilation...the list goes on.

At this price you can buy a new helmet every couple of months for the price if - no, actually cheaper than - a branded visor. As with all things choice is the key.

I've been wearing a Bell M5X I picked up via this site for £90 3 years ago. Gets worn 6 days a week and the 3.2mm visor is still entirely scratch free and fog free. It also fits like a glove (i have 5 heads).
Add discount code AGRIUSTMIX for another 10% off.

And after it's met those standards, fit is more important than bells and whistles
Doesn't matter how well it's tested if it gets dropped in transit

Had a look and, yes, it was.

Absolute bargain.

I actually sell helmets and bike gear now and have done for about 20 months - still wear the Bell. Managed to get and XS carbon one for my daughter for even less money at the time.
Do they do any that are open face helmets and also without those ghastly colour combos on them? Hate having the bottom part of my face covered.

Ageing and unseen damage can make a helmet much less likely to be up to the standards it met when new so if this helps people replace their helmet regularly that can only be a good thing. Heat.

I'd still rather wear my 3 year old Bell than one of these.
Full price at Halfords £30, so £7 discount.

I got one and sent it back. Not comfy for me. Guess I have a shoei head still!
