Found 1st Jun 2014
Flights are within asia, and not from uk or europe

ideal for back packers/ people flying to asia and wanting to visit another country

booking period 2nd june 00.00 till 8th June

airasia are releasing 2.5 million promotional seats

all in and tax price from as little as US$9/ UK£ 5.80 for a single flight from malaysia to malaysia/ singapore

flight period is from 5th january 2015 to 31st july 2015

i am posting this, as i know alot of people like to back pack/ or go to the far east on holiday and like to go soemwhere else as well

the flights exclude food AND luggage, however you are allowed a hand carry

last year i managed to get bangkok- KL-HK, front row seats with 30kg luggage and food, with fees and tax for the promotion i paid £100 for BOTH flights

its worth looking if you got asia planned for next year

Main flights routes are from MALAYSIA to asia and australia

also just done another search, you do not have to fly from malaysia, check the table to see what routes are part of the promotion

Yeah I can't see anything from the UK either, nor is there anywhere in Europe you could fly to cheaply to get the flight either. Kinda a pointless deal for UK folk.

For a moment I thought that AirAsia X had once again opened up a route from UK. Judging by the comments, they still haven't. So this deal is only useful if you're having a trip to Asia and booking multiple flights. Still cheap though! Pity I've already bought a ticket to fly within Malaysia during the promotion period.

disagree with you

pack packers tend to buy a flight to the far east and leave everything last minute

as i mentioned before in the post, if you have holiday plans to the far east its a opportunity to visit another place on the cheap

so there is a point in this deal

i myself, booked my main flight out to asia, and inbetween have added mini holidays using this promotion

it is cheaper than buying a package once out there

Fair point, but it should probably be in the title or opening post that there are no flight from the EU.

thank you for feedback

will edit post to make it more clearly

Be aware, OP, that this excellent deal you were kind enough to share might get pulled by an admin. I shared a £400 return deal to Argentina from Milan, but the thread got deleted because it wasn't from a UK airport.

Heat added (for as long as the thread lasts!).

i've posted this deal last year...dind't get deleted

i also did a search and can see quite a few airasia offers that are still in the search...

i dont understand why yours got deleted, because i've seen alot of sunshine stacy's post and majority of her post are from europe???

If every person on hotukdeal who has a fair point adds a word or two to the title, the title would be 1 kilometer long. The name AirAsia, brief desc and one easy click to its web site says it all.

Well done Tony Fernandes

I have 3 weeks in Thailand in January next year and was planning on using Bangkok as a hub and going to see some other places.

This will be amazing for me - Thanks so much for the heads up!!!

Heat added but this is Hot UK Deals!

Banned

They don't fly from the UK anymore because the brand didn't take off from here. However, I did Bankok to Phuket last year and it was £50 so this is a good deal if you can appreciate it. Heat added

Ha, even Nigel Farage comes on here to save a couple of quid!

With the cheap China flights last week, this is perfectly timed for me. Thanks for sharing.

i've been keeping a close eye on it

my friends out there has confirmed its safe, if you stay away from the protest and you keep to the cerfew (i'm only there for 2 days for food and massages) and if you have to go to airport out of the cerfew to show your flights and allow extra time to get to airport

Make sure to check this page before you go. I would answer any question about politics with, "I have no opinion about that." (_;)

No it doesn't really. The name means nothing if you didn't know (like myself) that they don't fly to the UK, and the brief description didn't mention it. So only when I got to their website did I find the deal is no use to myself. MML has now changed the title so it's really clear to all.

Anyway, great deal if you can make use of it.

same with my bro, he's got HK planned for march and is going to malaysia... but he can't commit to this offer right now

he paid £150 for his return flight last year with airasia

Original Poster

just remember...

the price you need to look out for is the red promotion fair...that price you pay on check out...unless you add baggage , meals and seat choice...which obviously bumps the price up

but i seen, KL- australia for tax price £62 (approx) one way

A brilliant deal, definitely useful to me, a UK resident. Thanks OP, please continue to post similar deals in the future, if you come across them. In fact, if anyone knows of a cheap way to fly within sub-Saharan Africa do let me know!

Good deals if you can get the flights you need...to be honest while I was in Thailand last year Thai Airways were running promotions similar to this..(my flight to Chiang Mai from Bangkok was less than £15) so keep your eyes open for offers once you get to Thailand...as regards the troubles/protests. We were in Bangkok and Chiang Mai for over a month and didn't see any problems at all..just the usual amount of traffic accidents involving motorbikes.

Good airline for hopping around Asia

Air Asia are a superb airline. Great planes and they fly cheaply all over Asia and beyond.

Cheap flights often come up to Malaysia or Thailand from the UK, and from there Air Asia will take you all over the place for very little money.

I've flown more flights than I can remember using them and to some of the most incredible places.

Can't find any outbound flights on this promo, just the return

now i wish i was travelling to asia this year!
