my local police have been constantly spreading warnings about how these are illegal on paths and roads and will confiscate them.
only allowed on private land..
If you've done that much research you should have realised there's almost nowhere these can be legally used.
Yep lot of press you can't use these on the pavements, it's a risk some people are willing to take from the last post on here.
There on go Groupie for 229

If your local police have got time to spare to enforce those laws and confiscate these off people then it just shows how messed up some police forces are.

My partner had her car broken into the other week and was told the police would attend that day and to stay with the car and not touch anything,4 days later they turned up,they were probably too busy dealing with all those hard core criminals on their swegways.

I've got my son a bike with stabilisers for Christmas, now do I let him ride it on the pavement and risk getting arrested on Christmas Day or should I make him ride it on the road,I'm not sure what option is best for a 2 year old,do they service turkey dinner in the cells on Christmas Day ?

LOL ,love it

just proves coppers are as bent as the rest of us,or just don't give a toss, like the rest of us.
I would be very worried about the type of plug and charger they use i've seen on the news that customs officers have been testing and inspecting shipments of these boards arriving at the port of Felixstow to be sold in the UK and most of them had dangerous chargers which could well cause serious damage

I would think Groupon would only sell tested products with the correct plug and charger.
The Debonair board is one of the better ones on the market with a warranty.

groupon don't actually sell, test or check what they advertise they just take payment, a seller contacts them to say they have a deal and groupon advertise and they take a %
OOOOOOOooooooo badass! Toys r us are selling them for £250 maybe not this model but your child will be too bored with it by boxing day to realize or care.

I guess they wont be going looking for kids playing on them but just wait until there is an accident caused by one of these, then it wont be a case of the Crown Prosecution Service looking the other way, the person using it will be prosecuted as they would be in any similar case.

Believe it or not... police are actually human beings. Most are not interested in arresting people for having fun as long as it's not at the risk or detriment to others. Ridden at a walking pace and taking care most won't care. Start being an idiot and the law gives them the power to do something about it.

Obviously there's always a jobsworth out there who gets power crazed the minute they put on a luminous jacket.
B&m are going to sell them at £199 on black Friday.
