It's getting rather a lot of traffic I think, the prices they have are around 30-50% cheaper than Amazons 30% off sale prices. So I imagine model kit fans are snapping them up!

Back up and working consistently now.

Some excellent reductions - thx OP

Are they still making this - airfix.com/uk-…tml . I remember building this 30 odd years ago... Hasn't changed a bit...

I quite fancy one of these: airfix.com/uk-…tml but as a pre order, it's obviously not in any sale and £55 for a model seems pretty steep. Plus the Mrs will kill me if I buy any more airfix models, I've got a fair few with a grand total of zero made!

Do people still do these??

Spend £30 for free delivery though.

Those are amazing prices. Great kits too.

Damn. It's like Amazon with morals.

I want my free 30 day Airfix Prime trial!

Now I mention it, are any of these on Amazon Prime?

Kindly position your throat directly in front of Airfix then...........and they probably STILL won't try to ram it down it...

No, the entire Airfix business is a work of fiction, pretending to sell model kits.

I'm quite tempted by that, but I should build the Vulcan first.

Never built an airfix in my life but i'm bloody tempted!

Only one tank and it's American

Its awesome, looks like something from Flash Gordon!

this is not going to help my addiction to grey plastic things. But the new tool 1/48 spitfire, for a fiver is just far too tempting.

Thanks for this, couple of gifts sorted for my boys!

You'll have more fun with an Airfix model than one of those sulky moaning supermodels...

Great presents for people you don't like children. You know the adults will have to build them.

Javlin, snatch Land Rovers, and Supacat Coyote on their way! Nice one OP

Tempted by the HMS Illustrious, hell of a saving.

Thank you! Ordered few bits for my son!

Some real bargains this time around, thanks op, must resist and start building more of the huge stash I already have though... But the Javelin is cheap.. and the Merlin... It's an illness! have some heat.

Knew I shouldn't have waited, HMS Illustrious now out of stock.

Yep I've got a Vulcan to build too, along with a Spitfire, Focke Wulf, Euro Fighter and a couple of others

I didn't spot the Victor was a 2016 pre order! I might have just about made my Spitfire by then

So you felt the need to insult everybody else also? I'm not sure what your issue is, in an age where millions of people sit on the couch all day shooting Russians in the face on Call of duty etc, this kind of hobby that teaches some genuine skills and even social interaction should probably be encouraged rather than mocked.

They added some new lines yesterday. RE: the post about getting out more, fresh air is good as it exercise (and I'd recommend both as one of the best things you can do to improve your health), but on a cold winters night that's not always practical.

I built models with my father, the skills I learnt as a kid doing that have translated very nicely to DIY nowadays and as a result I rarely have to pay trades people to undertake work for me. So for kids I see no harm in these, they're quite educational, as is the history behind some of the planes. For an adult (who spends most of their day in front of a PC for work) not looking at a screen of some variety is quite refreshing I'd imagine.
