Obviously the deal here is for the Amazon Prime pricing. It's £10.98 unfortunately without Prime, but I have found it for £9.59 at CPC.

I'm liking the look of this, model building for the impatient, and those who tend to glue finger tips to eyelids (me).

I'm also led to believe from a quick search they are 2 for £14 in Asda.

Good! The less parts, the better where I am concerned mate. Short attention span and not to be allowed anywhere near glue

The quick build cars are also in the Argos 2 for £15 deal, so £7.50 each.

In that case, you might want to consider this one....consists of one part...here's one we made earlier

What is the point of an Airfix "quick build" kit? Bit like a 2 piece jigsaw or a cross word with only one answer needed. If you haven't the patience to build it then buy a model. As for boasting about having a short attention span.....

As 8 year olds can do the full kits are these for foetuses? Is there any point in a construction kit that really doesn't need constructing? No wonder people have no stickability if they even cheat over their toys.

can i get this on a lease deal?

Well it wasn't missed to be fair, but as we're discussing missed points (this product). The Airfix Quick Build range is aimed at children 5 years old and upwards as an introduction to modelling.

Airfix QUICK BUILD is an exciting range of simple, snap together models suitable as an introduction to modelling for kids (ages 5 and up), or as a bit of construction fun for the more experienced modeller.

The pre-coloured pieces simply push together, without glue or paints, to build an impressive model which can then be decorated with the included self-adhesive stickers. Plane models also come with their own display stand to show off your handiwork!
The whole QUICK BUILD range is manufactured here in the UK and features some of the most iconic vehicles ever constructed!

I thought it was quite obvious. Not sure I'd be giving my 5 year old a Airfix Lancaster Dambuster, a tube of glue and some paints. I like the idea, classy Mega Bloks

these are brill....the little one has a few fighter planes and loves them....better and more realistic then lego....and if you are a modelling snob, then give the little one one some glue to fix this all together and hopefully not themselves at least it's easy to fix if it falls apart

If you feel that strongly about it you might want to put a complaint directly into Airfix rather than ranting at the Op about it - I imagine Airfix senior management don't come here often

great thank you :-) got the bugatti, maclaren p1 and Lambourghini aventador at the same price. my two boys will be happy!xxx

ordered 4....2 ww2 fighters and two sports cars.....already have a spit and messer. .....and very nice they are too....might stick them or parts of them on the quick build scalextric set we have

They look like nice models for the price. Complaining that they are no challenge to build is missing the point of these. They're supposed to be an easy introduction to building models for some kids. I'm sure airfix also cater for people who want more of a challenge but I probably be picking up one of these to with my little one who loves cars. Thanks Buzz!

Great stocking filler for my 3 year old. Thanks OP!

Are you 5!?

excellent

I'd say these Airfix Quickbuild kits are useless .

My partner one day picked up a set of 4 on 3 for 4 deal in local Hornby outlet store (£7.50 each with promo). The Lamborghini Aventador has created so much grief .

The pieces have so little depth of interlocking element that the model keeps falling apart when played with. Also the way the parts are if part of model falls apart the rest of the pieces lose cohesion and the whole thing ends up in a heap oO . This causes my 6yr old (has ASD) to have an outburst trying to fit it back together. It just doesn't work like the Lego sets he enjoys, which actually hold his attention and keep him calmly playing.

My thoughts stay away and get Lego, if giving to a very young child be prepared to be a) forever rebuilding it b) perhaps gluing it together (which I did oO ).

Luckily the shop is taking 2 of the unopened models back .

These things are rubbish my son has 2, that one and a lambo. They comprise of very few pieces which are not a patch on logo very cheap and brittle, he broke one of the bricks for the front of the veyron within 6 months and neither of them stay together very well, I was planning on glueing the lambo so he can play with it as bits just endlessly fall off it.

If you want to get kids lego cars just get the lego speed series they are really good.

This needs to be referred to the airfix committee.

Thanks, got two Lambos for my kiddies stockings :-)

It comes pre - crashed?
COOL ! oO

Ordered one for my 3 yrs old nephew even it says 5+

My son had some homework on WWII and one of the options was to build a model. So we got him an Airfix Quick Build Kit. Shocking waste of money. It goes together easy enough, but falls apart just as easily. Seems like a good deal on RRP so heat, but in my opinion it is not worth buying even at the lower price.

I dont know about the cars because I have not purchased one but there are several comments about the quick build kits on this posting.

I have purchased the spitfire and the messerschidmt aeroplanes. My 6 year old son plays with these every day. The propellers have a tendancy to fall off but are easy to fit back on. They look great and and much better than the airfix glue together then paint models which I had when I was a boy.

They are slightly too fiddly for a 6 year old to build but would probably be suitable for a child age 8 or older.

I have also purchased the harrier aeroplane which was fun to build but is grey all over and therefore doesnt look as special as the spitfire and messerschimdt.

My son is really into cars and therefore I would be interested in buying one of these kits. I am therefore keen to see some genuine reviews on this this posting.

HA !
Now I know you're joking.
Royal Mail?
If it actually get's to their door, unbroken, unstolen, the postie will be confused on how to operate the door bell and dump it in the nearest river.
