You had misspelled the Title, that's all.
Awesome, used to have loads of air fix models hanging from my bedroom ceiling a few (OK 35) years ago. Will pick a couple up for old times sake. Cheers op

I never, copied and pasted, title has now been corrected.... still heated though, still, 6 would be nice

Nice presents for kids that you don't like the father. He will end up making on Christmas day.
I used to absolutely love these when I was little but I started to realise that to do them "properly" you needed to use filler and airbrushes etc and even though I was unfairly comparing my work to that of adults I found it really disheartening and went right off it. Might have to give it another go!

Voted hot and recommended if your kids aren't really self critical and harsh on themselves lol!
I think the design leaves a bit to be desired, some of them look a little plane
Bet the Spitfires just fly off the shelves

I think that kind of depends on the father, like lego these fall under the "just as fun as an adult" category for a lot of people. I know a lot of guys that are more into things like this now than they were as kids.
Spitfire! Count me in.

Sadly when I was a kid we were that poor that I could never afford the paint for the models I built.
No Fokkers!
What age range are these good for?

Realistically I'd say about 11 and up with adult help.
Some of the Airfix kits don't always fit together cleanly, in particular when you need to glue the two halves of the plane together around the cockpit you might find that it won't close up correctly. You need to trim a bit of the plastic off the cockpit to reduce width which can be tricky. Younger kids might struggle to see where the problem is and will need a sharp knife to fix it.
Perfect, my dad has been obsessed with world of tanks and I wanted to get him an airfix tank! Thanks OP!

Yeah, good luck with that...........
I remember Airfix back in the day, oh what a wonderous time it was, spending half the day trying to get glue off my fingers and the other half wondering why my aircraft when painted looked nothing at all like the picture

If you are really good to him, you'd get a Tamiya kit :-)
Might be good to cement the bond between parent and child whilst building

Yup, Airfix was never the best quality!

Xbox or PC player? If he's on Xbox I probably know (of) him.

Get him this one: it's $14, so not 5x the price and the StuG is a very popular tank, this model is known for being kind to beginners or people just going back to the hobby (I think it's this one anyway!)
