A fantastic price on a 9 foot 4/5 weight rod.

Airflo’s Streamtec range has introduced Nano Technology into the blank, making it lighter, stronger and even more responsive than was previously possible. Designed specifically for rivers, this range of rods has a smooth progressive action that works extremely well at short to mid range and acts as a great cushion for light tippets on big fish. The 10’ models have been specifically designed to meet the demands of modern Czech and french nymphing techniques, although the 10’ 5/6 doubles as an excellent light top of the water rod for traditional loch style drifting.

Single leg chrome rings
Lined stripper rings
Custom reel seat
High grade cork handle
Smooth middle to tip action
All have a cigar shaped handle
Matched perfectly with the Airflo Super-Dri Elite line
Nano technology in the blank
Light tippets can be used without fear of breaking off
10’ models are particularly useful for either Czech or French style nymphing
Precise and accurate
Supplied in a hard cloth covered rod tube.

If only you knew how little they paid for these!!!
I have no clue about fly fishing but I have had a couple of half day trips and caught nothing. However I have always wanted to use a fly rod in the summer for carp surface fishing... does this have the TC for carp?

Probably a bit light weight for carp fishing. Look for a 8/9 weight rod to cope with decent sized fish.

I heard Airflo actually pay people to take them away.

Well they were quite canny when they first hit the rod market with their airflo classic range years ago. They gave them a massively inflated retail price of around the £160 mark then every month discounted one or two in the range to under £60! They had loads of breakages but the guarantee was a replacement no quibble warranty which they could do a few times as they were allegedly paying £10 per rod!!!!
I was a keen flyfisher for many years. I fell out of love with it about 20yrs ago. I do recall having to return an airflo rod a couple of times but the last one I got seemed fine.

I always thought their rods were ok.

Have they fell out of favour then?
Good deal. I learnt on an airflo rod 7 years ago and never had any issues.
I use Nano rods - I've 3 of them and I love them! so easy used with excellent feel and feedback - three casts for a 25+ yard line
