There are so many £10 versions around these days that it’s amazing people will still pay £250 for earphones.I know you can say the same about the iPhone (vs Android phones), but OS differences are quite significant whereas earphones just connect when you put them in your ears and there’s not much more to it.

Yeah doesn't say on that page, but when buying AirPod Pros directly from apple it costs £29.00. So I presume that's how much it is.

Each to their own, but having had several budget earbuds in the past I can assure you the differences were notable to me. Can’t speak for the AirPods Pro yet as haven’t received them, but having used earbuds from B&O and Bose there really is a big difference in sound quality. Of course you also get features such as noise cancelling that you won’t see on budget options. User experience on AirPods is second to none so would expect the same from the Pro version.

None of that necessarily means they’re worth the money, that’s a personal choice. But they aren’t just the same thing with a higher price.

The code works site wide - so if you can find any other reputable seller who is selling them new, you should still be able to get the discount.
OOS, lucky to those who were quick to buy it. Enjoy your new Airpods 🏻

How do Airpods compare to B&O and Bose though? As they're in the same price range. Suppose the big contender for ANC is the Sony earbuds which are around this price too.
Is it connectivity that's the main draw for airpods?
      Curious

I don’t have the pro model yet so can’t comment. I use AirPods at the moment purely for convenience and portability. It’s the only earbuds I’ve experienced that have rock solid connectivity and also the only ones that genuinely fit comfortably in a jean pocket. Also add in to the mix that they are by far the best earbuds for phone calls, microphone quality on the others mentioned was awful. Both B&O and Bose sounded better, but to my ear it was pretty marginal and the convenience factor of the AirPods was a bigger selling point. I am hoping that the Pro model will improve the sound element thanks to the buds now sealing the ear.

So I buy Apple Care Plus for £29 and before the 2 years is up I can get the batteries swapped out without any extra charge or is there an excess (ala car insurance) that I need to pay?
Just get them from Currys when they’re in stock, 10% on Topcashback plus a £5 voucher

      Apparently so,

“If you have AppleCare+ for Headphones, it offers replacement coverage if your AirPod or Charging Case battery holds less than 80 percent of its original capacity”

      support.apple.com/en-…ice

Fully expect it will be under 80% in two years, so can get free replacements for £29.

I guess it doesn't apply to old airpods more than 6 months old
