Airtime Rewards, earn cashback to your phone bill

35
Found 1st Feb
Just had this pop up when signing into my O2 app. Its basically a cash-back app which pays out to your mobile phone bill. Sorry if already posted as did search before.

I have had a look at the deals on offer and even if the retailers are the same as quidco and tcb for the offers given are different. For example, 2% at waitrose, where as quidco offer £20 new customer spend over £80 and £2 on over £100 for existing customers.

Just though id share this for those who may be interested.

Can be used on PAYG and Pay monthly on most major networks apparently.

Sorry if this is already known to the masses as I personally hadn’t come across this

I think its like that with most things these days but it appears to be backed by O2 whom have advertised this

Looks good.

Their offers should stack too. They track card purchase data like Quidco High Street, TCB in-store on card, and most High Street banks now for reward programmes. So if you are shopping at Waitrose to get the £20 off your shop you should also see 2% of your final purchase on this account.

Some stores I'll never shop at, some I may but this looks fairly new, if it has network support and you're behind it from the off this could be lucrative if played correctly.

Heat from me John, many thanks. Free money is my favourite money.

I’m going to second that. 2% off for giving access to all my calls, everyone I’ve texted and my number, no thanks

What makes you think you're giving away all of that? Your number, sure, but the rest?

I mean, they must be gaining something from this, but I don't see how they're getting that data (any permissions you don't like in Android, you can block to prevent that kind of stuff) - I'm not sure what's in it for them though...?
Interesting comments, what about those who have used this app, how much have you really got off your phone bill?

Can I use this and quidco if it takes details off my card?

You should be able to use both.

Give you a fiver when you add your first card.

I would say apply that to a bill. If it all goes smoothly take it from there.

Reading reviews on Play Store, they seem pretty positive and the customer service replies are competent and understandable which can be unusual these days.

I've installed and will run it, give it a month or two and see how it goes.

Don't really see how it's any different to having Quidco, TCB, Checkout Smart, Click Snap etc on my phone tbh.

Are you giving quidco and tcb access to your bank account?

They seem to change regularly. Similar to banks reward schemes.

Offers are added for a limited time and then replaced.

Can only get better with time and users. Higher revenue more companies want to do business. Can't imagine Quidco was 4000+ retailers at the begining.

True, but the changing of eligible companies puts me off too unfortunately. It's why I don't use topcashback's receipt scanning - it only works on certain products and isn't consistent as eligible products change constantly.

Guess you can't please everyone.

I have no issue with receipt submission. Checkout Smart have paid me £200+ in six months for buying things I would anyway.

Maybe a brand change here and there or substitution of one product for another but I'd rather have the money in my pocket and check an app in the store than not have it.

£200 is a nice weekend away or a school holiday treat for the kids in my house with the money earned back.

Guess it's like everything else in life though, you get out what you put in. I'll out in the time and get back the financial reward.

Hadn't heard of Checkout Smart before.

Have you tried Receipt Hog? I only became aware of it yesterday and not used it yet, but it sounds similar, but I think you get 'coins' for any receipt you upload, which can then be traded in for real money (or vouchers).

How do they compare? Do you earn on the same receipts multiple times?

Hog and Shoppix are similar. But can double dip.

ClickSnap and Checkout Smart are both operated by the same company but ClickSnap pays into a Quidco account.

Checkout smart has some different offers but charges to cash out if under £20. Store specific/product specific. Can cash out to bank account or PayPal.

Shop-mi-um is similar but doesn't update as often. (Each individual offer pays to PayPal)

TopCashback Snap n Save is a few offers weekly (Thursday) and can be bought anywhere. Paid into TCB account.

Greenj!NN is Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose only. Updates weekly on Sunday Midnight (Monday morning) Mon cash out is £1.50 straight to PayPal.

Very useful, thanks.
Looks interesting. Thank you
Works well. And when shopping at in-store points who allow you to take cashback ensure you take the maximum. Between my bank and this deal I got an extra £6 for the £50 cashback I took on top of my shopping at Waitrose.

It was on the card register page prior to adding a card but after registering for the app.

You could try contacting support.

Worth noting you need to accumulate a minimum of £10 before you can apply it to your phone bill.
Groupon 3% (MasterCard only)
Hungry Horse 5%
