Akai A58050 Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones

OK, maybe not the '1/2 price' that Robert Dyas claim, but at £24.99 online and in-store, this is cheap for over-ear noise-cancelling headphones, especially ones that are USB-chargeable (vs disposable AAA batteries).

£26.99 at Amazon (third-party) amazon.co.uk/Aka…G5/

Reviews good-enough but, unsurprisingly, not in the league of the £250 Bose pair for build-quality or audio.

Free click'n'collect from Robert Dyas or Rymans branches (otherwise delivery £3.95 if order under £50, in which case cheaper on Amazon).

2% Quidco cashback.

Very unfair to compare them to a product (Bose at £250) cost more than TEN times as much.
For a bit more you can get those on offer on Amazon Link. There is an offer bringing them down to £39.99. Heat added.

If you are with Halifax, you can get 15% cashback from Robert Dyas.

I wouldn't bother. I bought some Akai headphones the other year and they were dreadful. Though these say Akai Pro Series, they have nothing to do with Akai Professional.

Ok. Got a pair now.

Sound quality reasonable. Fairly lightweight and comfortable.

Three year warranty with online registration.

Note, the are not Bluetooth. Cable only (which has a volume slider and NC switch on it).

No good for an Bluetooth-only phone, but they are perfect for what I need, to listen to Spotify from my laptop in the office and cheap enough not to worry about losing them.

Picked a pair of these up today for £17 so looks like further reduced.

Initial impressions not too bad at all.
