Amazing price, from what I gather these are the exact same as the Y50BT.

Everywhere else has the Y 50 BT on sale for around £105.

no braine for me

great find op! hot!

would have gone for these if over ear - heat given

Hot from me!

On the Q&A section on Argos a member of staff has confirmed they are the same as the Y50BT

This is a great price. I have a pair and they're an excellent pair of headphones even at £105.

Worth noting that TCB are offering an extra £3 cashback today.

hmm that's very tempting have some heat

Looks like a great deal basically the same as the AKG Y50 Bluetooth product which got a 5* What Hifi review when it came out and was tested at £150

Just ordered for collection. Looking forward to trying them.

Thanks OP and supermann for the heads up on TCB.

I brought them like a week and a half ago for £100, god damn

These have a hilarious design flaw, reading the reviews on Amazon. The power button is positioned on the side between the foldable earpieces, so it turns itself on and drains the battery/silences your phone if the earpieces touch firmly in a bag.

I'm so tempted and it is a fantastic deal, but my God that would get so annoying so fast. Fair number of reviews also saying they stopped working after a short while, tbf.

Never had that problem personally. The only serious design flaw I noticed was the constant blue flashing light once it's paired. Pretty annoying if you're wearing a pair of glasses.

My biggest question is if they support AptX as if not they still have to be used with wire to achieve good sound quality

Where did you bring

Anyone collected theirs yet? Even the images on argos shows Y50 on the side. Can anyone confirm?

Went hot last time at £99. So this is a great deal!

On the AKG product page for the Y50BT, under the Q&A section, a customer service rep has confirmed that the C50BT are in fact the Y50’s, just a different name.

It's possible. It's possible.

What's the clamping force like on these? Tend to find that on-ears are a slightly higher pressure on the head but I've had some cracking on ears in the past.

Confirmed same as Y50BT by AKG when I called them.

called god, confirmed same as the Y50BT.

Word of warning,I just picked these up today and they do turn on when folding which defeats the whole purpose of this headphone ! Going back tomorrow.

And what event did you bring them to?

Richer Sounds refused to price match as not same model number as the Y one, even though AKG have confirmed both are the same as per comments. O well.

Thanks OP! Been holding out for 3 months as I missed Richer Sounds £99 deal....now I gots them for £69.99 thanks to you and Argos!

I spoke to AKG tech support today and they confirmed these are identical to the Y50BT model. It appears these were rebranded as Costco did a promotion and could not use the Y50bt model designation. I have read these were originally for the US / Canadian market and if you Google it this appears to be confirmed. I have just bought a pair myself and am awaiting them charging as I write this comment.

I contacted AKG support to find out if C50BT is the same as Y50BT and they said YES! See email response below.

"Thank you for contacting us. It is the same exact product, it was re-branded to identify that it is a Canada AKG product.

Hope this helps.

Been looking for a new pair after my AKG K451s finally gave up after 3 beautiful years

Done a lot of research and they seem to be very similar to the Y50BT version. Thanks OP managed to get them for £65 due to discounted e-vouchers through work AND QuidCo at 3% hopefully even lower.

Thank you!

Agreed!! I just picked up from Argos and the technical specifications are IDENTICAL to those of the Y50BT (spec sheet available on the AKG website) thank you OP

Bought these on Saturday and have given them a good testing with some very different music styles.
At the price they are a steal, excellent sound almost comparable to my wired PSB M42 headphones which cost 4 times as much.

HOT!! cheapest I've seen were at £90 from amazon.
