Argos ebay had these (and had some a few days ago) for £39.99 but I missed it.

These are essentially the Y50BT headphones but I think these were an Argos exclusive? Mind you, there's this from the Argos Q&As:3306959.jpgThis ebay seller, digital-save, states these are - Opened – never used “Ex-retail store stock. The packaging may be slightly damaged and opened.”

I have these and they’re really good. I got them for £60 on Black Friday a couple of years ago. This is a great price
Great deal Louise! We have a pair in the house and they're very good headphones!
For £40 sound better than anything else in this range. The reviews are typically at RRP price (£119.99?) and still get 5 stars. I got mine for £25 at CeX grade A and happy. They can squeeze your head a little over time and the AKG branding can be a bit garish for some.

I second what plewis is saying
I have just replaced mine with the Y500BT and the Y50bt can still hold their own, ive even got a pair of JBL 650BT's and aside from the extra volume out of the JBL, these still are brilliant cans, esp at this price.
Used to love the previous cabled on ear ones but tried these and found them tight and uncomfortable unfortunately. I do have a larger head and wear glasses though so I'm assuming they're better to people with a smaller head and no glasses.
They look EXACTLY the same as my Y50BT.
cracking price. heat
Does anyone know if you can use Argos gift cards on their ebay store to pay for these? Or does it have to be through PayPal
Thanks OP. Was looking for Bluetooth headphones. Ordered
I got these free with my gear sport and the bass output is best I have ever experienced with headphones. Best test for bass is Sub Low category on Spotify.
theyre definitely the same as the y50bt. these have popped up on here a few times.

theyre reknowned for the hinges breaking though. so maybe check the returns/warranty policy. the seller offers 30 days but not sure if AKG would honour it beyond that since its from ebay and opened..

i had a set briefly and sold them on as i thought the bass was quite poor. they never seemed to go quite loud enough either. i got a set of sennheisser 4.40BT's afterwards and the bass on those just blew the AKGs away.. but i guess everyones got slightly different hearing... one thing i have noticed is that theres an almost continous supply of these returned C50BTs...
can this be used as a headset to make call?
Sick
Daaaamn. That a super price! I paid like 59 for tha wired version of these like a year ago...
chatanm10/10/2019 11:55

What is it like for calls?

never used them to make any calls myself. cant find any reviews mentioning the call quality. i suppose if they where bad they would have said so in the review.
use these for the gym, they ARE the Y just different letter designation for different market...excellent headphones and at a price that they can be abused...think this is slightly cheaper than I found them for a year ago...Hot op, cheers
Had a horrible time chasing up Creative about my WP-380 headphones (but hey, they were £15.99 or so - can't really moan), pondering getting these. Bit worried they might break at the hinges as well, though.

Oh, too late, they're out of stock, bah (was at the dentist earlier).
Still in stock - just bought a pair
Thanks op

anyone know what sort of guarantee will come with these? I see the Argos eBay ones had 12 months!

hopefully a nice upgrade from my akg k451 who have had a bit of battering over time!

I have a pair of these which cost 70 a couple of christmases ago. They’re really good. Great sound quality (for the price I paid, obviously a high end headphone shouldn’t be compared with these) and brilliant battery life, mine have done way more than the listed 20 hours.

I agree, I got a pair from currys free with a tablet, I sold them after picking up some House of Marley ones for £16 new from Argos eBay that sounded better in my opinion
These are nice but they always break, some sort of design flaw which is a shame as I love the simple style and clear bass response
Anyone received theirs? Mine seem very used. Dead skin in grooves of power button and greasy! Eww!!

What!! I'd go nuts. Hopefully you'll be okay with ebay's guarantee (had mixed results with them in the past - much prefer Amazon these days). I was going by Feedback which seems positive I didn't get the chance to order and ended up buying a different brand.
I hope you can get a refund HalfShark, that sucks.

I got mine a couple of days ago. Thanks very much to the OP who found the deal. I guess I got lucky as mine look pretty pristine- no signs of use. The box itself was damaged and the headphones had definitely been removed from the box as the plastic straps that would have held them in the box were broken. Very happy with them so far- definitely feel like an upgrade from my trusty old AKG K451s. Folding design is a bit rubbish as many reviewers on Amazon pointed out, as when they are folded they easily switch themselves on. Not a big issue for me as they will stay at my office and I won't be carrying them around much. Great audio quality for this price I'd say.

Anyone tell me when these are charging is the red light supposed to stay on? Red light comes on for a minute then switches off on mine. Might be sending them back

Edit : silly me. Power button only needed to be pressed very lightly. They must have been fully charged.
Working great and look brand new
