I can vouch for Sennheiser products. I currently have the Sennheiser hd25 aluminium and the HD800.
I could buy this for my gaming setup

You know this is not Sennheiser?

It will be on offer again today @ Amazon Lightning deals @ 7.00pm.

Hopefully, it will be £49.99 again.

No because this is from Europe.

also, don't use the Amazon.de exchange rate, cheaper using the one given by your debit/credit card provider.

No VAT payable if bought from Europe.

Well I got mine today.
Here's what I'm used to: B&W DM 602S2's and a Yamaha RX A1010.

The bass is very little, it's there but not accentuated a lot and sounds sterile to me. 1-2db boost at 50-100hz really helps on foobar eq.

The mids are really recessed, again sterile and slightly harsh. Vocals are very clean. You have to turn them quite loud to get them to sound somewhat pleasing.

The headphones have a very sharp treble, almost harsh. And combine that with the above, raising the volume makes it slightly unpleasant.

There is absolutely no warmth to them at all.

I will burn them in for a while and see how it goes.

They are comfy but my head is not large and I use no extension on the metal strap.

The cushions are not thick and my ears touch the plastic/cloth on the speakers.

Follow up, problem was my small head and poor seal on the headphones.

I looked up how to mod the earpads and this has totally changed the sound signature to what I would expect from a high end product.

The bass and mids are there and no more harsh treble. I EQd the low end up just a tad and EQd the 8khz band down to get rid of the slight harshness that occurs sometimes.
