They've clarified in the Q&A section that these are not the Y50's, don't waste your time

What's the difference between the C50BT and the Y50BT?

All the search results I find just say the C50BT is the Canadian market version of the Y50BT.

Just read this thread on the subject:

forums.redflagdeals.com/cos…/3/

The following is taken from there:

"I contacted AKG support to find out if C50BT is the same as Y50BT and they said YES! See email response below.

"Thank you for contacting us. It is the same exact product, it was re-branded to identify that it is a Canada AKG product."

Bizarre that Argos would be listing the Canadian version. I think possibly that answer on the product page is incorrect. Would be worth clarifying as it's a good price. Would have gone for these if I didn't pick up the Kitsound pair listed recently.

So so tempted!!

I just rang AKG and asked what the difference is.

They said absolutely none! The C was just to represent specially made for currys, since then the stock has been supplied to other retailers. Everything is exactly the same as Y50BT.

Warranty is still the same 2 years.

I've reserved a pair from argos and will go collect them later.

You're most welcome.

Have some heat, but I'm gonna tease it till black Friday. Fantastic headphones though 👌

Good price for an excellent pair of headphones. I have had these four the past 6 months and my only observation is that after 2 hours, depending on your ears, they can start to hurt. Otherwise, pound for pound, a very good sound quality and build.

I've had these headphones for two years what a lot of research. Well worth the money, best I've had.

Bass overemphasised.... for kids

Well the AKG were 70 quid a year so go figure. Always get numpties on hot UK deals. If you must pay for the name then wait till black Friday.

You are quoting the price of the Y50's. These are the Bluetooth versions (hence the BT) and cost considerably more than the standard model.

Wrong. They were in last year's black Friday deal from Amazon. A friend at work recommended but I hesitated and missed out.
He has a pair. I compared my Veho to his recently and I prefer mine.

Mine are not as revealing as a friend's B and o play but they are much warmer to listen to.

go on the description not the photo.

My first pair of these broke after two days - the pivot on the right headphone separated and it would fall off the pivot pin.

Just got them replaced by Argos, but take care as that seems like a weak point in the design.

Just had mine delivered. I think they are Y50BT's in all but name.

But I'm going to return them. I wanted to replace my K451's for something wireless that I can use in the gym, but the C50BT's don't sound anywhere near as good as my K451's. Far too laid back, much quiter, less punchy bass and they don't grip my head as much as the 451's, and they are in no way tight.

Shame really, I was looking forward to listening to these.
