Ugly tat.

Its not ugly tat, better than the daft boring plain boxes they call stereos these days.

I reckon it's cool. Shame it's not DAB but that would increase the price even more I guess.

Sorry, but that is some very cheap modern(?) technology trying to look retro, thus looking ugly and cheap. The facia does not exactly blend into the fine hand crafted mahogany box.

Retro yet it has an LED display ? They should have gone the whole 9 yards. I've got a cheap £14 cd/stereo in the kitchen that out specs this. And its utter trash that my wife bought for the little ones to listen to.

Sorry but I don't think this is a deal that's worthy of a heat vote from me.

My son isn't after 'the specs' he wants the turntable to play records on and this is one of the nicer ones I've seen.

I like playing records myself. I'm not exactly a fan of retro, but if I were to spend the best part of £60 on something to listen to my records on I would be expecting something better than 2W speakers. Considering its sole purpose is to play records on as far as you/your son is concerned, I would suggest the specs would be quite important.

My piece of garbage in the kitchen makes everything sound like its coming from a tin can, so I would assume this to be no better

Looks great and a steepletone but tooooo expensive for me if I was to spend silly money on a music centre it would have to be the steepletone jukebox

An aged family member had this, looks brilliant but sounds like total crap (so it went the journey).

Get him a real 'retro' truntable from a charity shop (or ebay), they are better put together and sound better too. I have various turntables new and old and my current best one if from 1970s, just get a new cartridge for it and off you go. I got an old HMV all in one unit a couple of years back for £10 and it sounds really good (as good as a £200 micro system I recon). Just make sure they have a tape or aux input so you can plug in other sources (ipods etc).

I am a bit confused by your comment, did you not see how mycatcanripyourfaceoff seems to be interested in it? Your comment seems to be a bit abrasive towards me, but I am really not sure what you are getting at. Do you think it was wrong to post a picture of a better and cheaper option, or do you really believe that I am that desperate for attention. I am just confused.

Are you just some sort of subtle, confused troll, or did you mean to say something else altogether and got mixed up?

Bought my wife one of these for Christmas. It played for ten minutes then kept turning off, and then having to wait to turn it back on. Took it back to store, and had to get my money back cos they had no more in store. Now can't get one from anywhere.....Ebay atleast double the price!!!!! Not got one upset wife!!!!!
