Hmmm, do you think it'd be worth paying the extra £3.35 for the in-game dev commentary?
I would say so you also get the soundtrack
Thanks. Ordered, but already owned on the XBOX ...but not played the DLC.

the reason im not getting it for the PC, I have brought the DLC so not really much point, also no pad support, shame cause play a sharper looking version
good price
Is this a good game?
Great price

This looks so awesome on the pc, way better textures and resolution than on the 360.

I bought mine for £23 on Steam yesterday
HOT
Game does support 360 controller on PC according to Steam manaul. Bought
I can probably find this alot cheaper on 360, but generally prefer to choose Pc over 360, anyone aware if this is taking advantage of superior PC tech? I.e better textures, load times, post processing effects? Or is it a poor port? Read one review which assumed you had played ther 360 version already so was worthless.

No.

It's a decent game but a few years old now. Has been available for less than a fiver for the 360 so looks expensive.

Not really IMHO. Only game I've started and not bothered playing any further than the first few sections.

Only paid a fiver for it tho' - on offer in Morrissons once upon a time.

IGN did a commentary on the PC version. Looked fairly good and there seemed to be a surprising number of graphical options for a port.

I'm interested but waiting for inevitable price drop.

Seems pricey.
Am I the only one sick to death of the constant appearances of this bloody thing on here ?
And the price is always still high, is what gets me.

It has JUST been released on PC. :P

The game is good. It brought something new to the table, just a shame it was repetitive & you always magically lose your gun.

I thought it was really disappointing. The game has a great atmosphere but the controls were horrid for me and I gave up with it. Others love it, though, so maybe give it a go.
Why so hot? This seems quite expensive for an old game

It came out yesterday on the PC.

All new graphics, it looks fantastic compared to the 360 version.

Not really , its like a Silent Hill ripoff with better graphics but doesnt work as well , i stopped at chapter 3 after realising i was bored stiff.
It might be great to others im just saying so far i feel its been a massive waste of a gift the controls feel clunky and the game play is quite bad , the main character can run 10 feet before slowing down to a crawl which is pathetic , oh well back to Amalur and the wait for ME3
Cant understand why pc games are so expensive especially for years old 360 port with no resale value. You pay £20 - £30 quid for a pc game on download or even the physial games cant be resold because of DRM. Yes the graphics are better but a decent rig costs 5 or 6 times as much. More hassle using a pad and if you buy games it costs alot more when you factor in lack of resale. Complete waste of time IMO. Its not really a surprise that PC gamming is pretty much finished outside a few niche game types.

If I buy it on Greenman Gaming can I enable it on Steam with the serial or something like that?
Looks ok actually. Will wait for the price to come down a bit more though.
The game uses steamworks, so yeah you basically get a steam key. If you are planning to get the retail version, you will get a steam key and the files on disc, which saves you the download the of ~7-8GB from the net.
The game itself is more than a simple port and is really demanding on the GPU. I get around 20-30fps in game on a gt330m(laptop), on low settings with a res of 1366x768. Normally I get something around 30-60fps with other console to pc ports.
link doesnt work and cant find it on the site now

Your assertion seems to be a little wide of the mark according to: extremetech.com/gam…hic

When I bought Skyrim through them I could.
When I bought Far Cry 2 through them I couldn't.

Which really doesn't help answer your question at all. Apologies.
Nice deal and good game.

Firstly I agree with you that old console ports should not be overly expensive, how much is Alan Wake to download to Xbox?? Probabaly a comparable cost.

Secondly Pc gaming is not finished. At the risk of upsetting the console fanboys, the Xbox 360 and PS3 are both very old tech now, the Xbox was released in 2005 and developed during 2004, the PS3 the same time frame, just manufacturing difficulties and cost concerns delayed the release of PS3.....this means the tech is pushing 7 years old... It is perfectly natural to see a migration from aged console hardware into investing in PC hardware - heck the xbox and Ps3 barely make the lower mid range spec of a pc.

I used to be a PC gamer and moved onto consoles in 06' until '10, but grew tired of the same old graphics engines being used - gears of war 1 - wow, 2...yeah same again really isnt it...........by 3 I was like seen this years ago. Same with uncharted on PS3. The mainsream may not need a new console but the true gaming community (those that hate the lag intensive kinect, move and just down right nintendo sold a lie Wii) are ready for a new console, new consoles arei not out soon so are moving over / back to PC's.
