In this award-winning cinematic action-thriller, troubled author Alan Wake embarks on a desperate search for his missing wife, Alice. As he discovers the pages of a horror story he has supposedly written, but has no memory of, Wake's grip on reality is threatened as he confronts the darkness closing in. The horror story is coming true.

Fight with light: Intense combat, where it takes more than bullets to banish the darkness! Weaken 'The Taken' with light before finishing them for good. Use lights in the environment as islands of safety in a world where darkness is deadly.

Discover & collect: Find manuscript pages from a novel Wake does not remember writing. The storyline seems to become real around him, describing scenes that have yet to occur and acting as warnings for upcoming challenges.

Explore & survive: Travel through a visually stunning and terrifying version of the Pacific Northwest, with newly remastered visual fidelity bringing a classic game to new platforms and players. Limited ammunition and supplies.

'Alan Wake is just as captivating and memorable as it was 11 years ago. With satisfying combat, a brilliantly-paced story, and fantastic setting, Remedy's horror-thriller is absolutely worth the punt if you're a fan of the studio's more recent output or just have a curious interest in horror' PSU

Paid £14.99 for this just after release from Smyths.

Worth £15. Had good memories of the game but unfortunately it wasn't as good as remembered.

Easy platinum for those concerned with such things.

I’ve ummed and arred about the game as I enjoyed the original back on my Xbox 360 - given it’s a free PS5 upgrade I may give it a go, so I can share it with my friend who has a PS4 too.

Cheapest deal I could find for it, after the £15 special offers we’ve seen on here

Just so you're warned, American Nightmare from the 360 generation looks and runs better than the Remaster.

As someone who bought this on release, I'd say don't bother..

Anything that requires more than 1 playthrough for platinum is a no from me. Its a joke trophy lure.
