They all made in the same factory in China using same components but some ppl like to pay more for a different logo (_;) There was a good example is a show the other day. They showed a t-shirt with covered logo on the street. Ppl said they will pay approx. £15 for it. When they uncovered the logo - Ralph Lauren - same ppl said they will pay £35 for the SAME t-shirt ... well I don't get it but I'm different

probably not the greatest but at this price and as a bedroom tv i cant see where you could go wrong

Bought this yesterday for £119 not happy !

Not bad for 1080p tv

alba?

When it comes to TVs there can be a massive difference in quality and there is no way they are "all made in the same factory". This isn't the same as the exact same tshirt with a different logo on it.

Its like saying a 20p 2 litre bottle of Panda Pops is exactly the same as a £2 bottle of coca cola. They may share similarities but there is a difference that some people are willing to pay extra for and some people aren't.

Despite the above, I voted hot for this, I just think the claim that all TVs are the same is utter nonsense.

I know it's only £99 but if the DVD player part breaks the whole TV will be dead. These 'Combi' TVs are far more likely to cause problems. You might be lucky but if you don't really need a DVD player i would stay away and just purchase a normal small screen TV.
Decent deal none the less.

Great price

I have this TV, really good quality screen and DVD player works perfectly. Bargain at this price, HOT.

Well I should probably put same factory in " " but ... I recomend you google some information first ... you can start from finding out why when you pay for i.e. Sony LCD you are watching Samsung LCD panel ... that's the obvious example, sorry I don't have time to dig until I find that factory at the end of a food chain that make the screens for all major manufacturers
And to be clear I'm not arguing about difference in quality as there probably is some, I just think that my 5 year old won't spot it

Hot deal. Voted hot. Kids tv, great. Students on a budget great. Adults 2nd TV (eg. Bedroom) will notice a comparable difference in this and their main larger branded tv. My humble opinion.

In tv's you do get what you pay for. I agree some components are made in the same factory and that is fine but it is what drives it and also a lot of a tv is the software as well. Compare brands basing on user interface and speed that operates an there is usually a remarkable difference in brands.

comparing apples and pears ?:)

we have one a pink one it went wrong the dreaded standby light error . argos were quick to accept the tv for repair we returned it in its box and packaging but when it came back it was dumped upside down in its box and scratched ..they replaced it after a few words..

But anyway the tv performs well with kids and is very clear audio is a little tinny but just keep that receipt

this is a great find

Just what we wanted for our daughters Chrissy present. Many thanks op

Stop making yourself out to be this cool alternative hipster character. There are a lot of people that wouldn't pay extra for a designer shirt. You're not the only one. And with regards to all tv makes being the same? Please.

So pleased I got this - its now gone back upto £119.99 !!!

Collected from argos, tuned it all in and then found the dvd didn't work. Returned it to argos and got another tv, got that home and the small part that fixes the stand to the tv was missing. Returned again to argos and it was now out of stock. Fortunately they allowed me to take the piece from the the first set with the broken dvd. I have now checked it all out and everything is working fine.
If you've got it for a children's present maybe best to check it's all ok,

Seems to be showing as £119 now
