Possible tcb too

Don't be put off by the name. These phone are more than capable. Probably not for those tech minded but for a burner or your mum they are perfect
Does any company do price match
Limited reviews but generally favourable
this is very very cheap OP. have some heat
For the specs this is pretty good. 48mp Camera, 2ghz octacore with 4gb RAM, 4000mAH battery and Android 10
This is a great price , very decent specs and perfectly fine for an every day handset using email and social media , looks good too
Good price for the hardware but don't expect any OS updates and they (used to at least) come with a boatload of crappy apps you can't uninstall. If you don't need that level of hardware then a Motorola G7 is the same price and will have nearly stock Android, or even further down the performance scale, a budget Nokia which will get updates and upgrades for the next few years.

I've had a look at this on Alcatel's website and it seems to ape the Nokia 7.2 - it isn't quite as good, but neither is it >£200. I think for the money it's good value but what I've already said about updates still applies, as does the shovelware most likely.

Thanks for all your replys. I'm still weighing up options but think for the money this might win for my needs. Ideally wanted the chameleon colour but can't find that at this price.

It's hard to pick holes in this for £99 .... Basically HD resolution 270ppi to be expected..... Mediatek chip but 12nm.... Won't be fast charge

That's quite interesting is only 165grams.... Light by towards standards. Which is impressive for a 4000mah battery phone
It'll be pretty much Stock Android if my experience with Alcatel phones is anything to go by
Some of their budget phones used come with various crap built in alcatel apps, which after a few months, when it was too late to return the phone, autoupdated to present advertising and add really annoying features like an octopus, and the phone became even slower and less responsive.

Mediatek cpu's are known for having poor GPS modules in comparison to the Snapdragon CPus

I'll tell my mum I've found the perfect phone for when she needs to order her drugs. Cheers
That's a lot of new phone for the money. I don't see how anyone can really knock this. The 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard at this price point is the most surprising.
Paid 150 for this a month ago

I was considering this before the price drop! I wonder if Amazon would price-match? AO won't deliver to my address.

Are you in the Scottish Highlands? Couriers can be costly for there, we don't ship on eBay there at work because of courier costs

Nah Ireland. I guess I could use a virtual UK address.
Well I guess I can't, the AO website is very restrictive on what UK addresses you can use :(.

I've looked for a G7 for this price but can't find one. Where did you see it?

If you go to their just a phone section it says this

If you’ve got your SIM already and are looking for a brand new phone, a SIM free handset is perfect for you. With all the latest releases from brands like Apple, Samsung, Sony plus many more, there’s something for everyone. When you receive your new SIM free phone, simply pop in your SIM card and you’ll be good to go!

I presume the O2 and Vodaphone mentioned are contracts available on this phone but yes it is slightly confusing.

Definitely been some variants of the G7 for around that price - might have been the power or the lite. The point is better brands exist at this price point if you don't mind dropping the spec, and if you don't care about brand then there will be other Chinese phones (Alcatel is TCL. a Chinese brand) at this price point with similar or maybe even better hardware.

I'm not knocking the value of this phone, which I've already said is very good, but my experience with previous Alcatels have not been good and I feel it's important people know what the adverts won't tell them, like the Octopus thing above,

OK thanks, I'll keep an eye out for it. I like the Motorolas so would prefer to stick to them.
In the past Alcatel have had a problem with USB ports developing a loose connection - cheapo components rushed/sloppy soldering probably. Not sure if it's an issue with their current range.
Anyone got one yet from AO?

If you could leave a small review I would be very grateful! Thanks guys
Time to expire OP as now £139.... appears to have been a misprice it seems and now corrected

Decent find though and well doen to anyone that got one for £99
