I'm not that familiar with the model, but looks decent for the price.

Heat added
National?
Website says it's £10 a month on a 2 year contract so I doubt this payg deal is genuine.
Sorry if I'm incorrect but it's just what i'm seeing.

Shame the £50 trade-in isn't valid any more.
Thats alot of phone for not much.
Can you explain this a bit better? May visit TM tomorrow..
instore we sell for 85 inc a topup, its been this since sunday when offer went live, as above sold 2 today, so 100% its a genuine deal, set one up and tbh impressed considering the price, though we did have the alcatel rep a few weeks back and had a quick blast then.

ps comes in gold and black, thats colours we have anyway

That's why I put in the title "in-store" and the deal is marked as "local"

It's genuine, pop-in to a Tesco that sells them and you'll see.

all tesco phoneshops should stock these Inc popup ones
Fab price. The reviews are positive even when the RRP was £170.

Are these difficult to unlock?
if this is true then its a good deal for the spec

i reserve my vote until i've been tomorrow

on another note, are tesco phones normally locked to tesco/o2?
2K 18:9 = Full HD
Good for the price... As long you know it's limitations. You won't really be doing any multitasking or gaming on this with these internals:

- Quad-core 1.45 GHz Cortex-A53
- Mali-T720MP2

If you're just after a large screen phone for watching YouTube videos, browsing the web and other basic tasks it should be fine.
Bought one for my dad. can't fault it . display is lovely for the price.
Alcatel is back, yeah!
Can it be unlocked? Do Tesco let you transfer credit to other people on Tesco?
Bargain and even more so if it can be unlocked.
You can buy it SIM free from Tesco think it was £108. he put a o2 sim straight in there.

generally tm charge a £10 topup to unlock a phone as these are new stock i havent managed to find that out yet
Decent value - this is where android makes sense in my eyes - forget flagship android handsets - cheap and functional is what they should be have some heat

Seems good for the price. The interface is easily changed by using another launcher such as Nova Launcher for example.

I disagree as you're suggesting Android is only useful if the hardware is cheap. I'm biased you can argue as I have a Google Pixel 2, however I've owned many Android phones and the Pixel 2 is the first Android phone I can say where the software experience is exemplary, because of this my previous two phones Samsung Galaxy S6 and Sony Xperia XZ pale in comparison and actually feel dire to use in comparison. It's not just security updates (I got May 5th security update yesterday on my phone) but software updates to hardware functions (Pixel Visual Core) software functions such as time zone data, camera and other parts of the OS that make it far far better than anything else I've used so far.

In terms of value for money then this phone is very good. Of course you wouldn't expect it to give the same level of hardware and software support as the Pixel 2 or S9 or other flagship phone. Android is best described as having something for everyone.

I can't take a review seriously when they don't know what QHD is.
can anyone confirm if this is unlocked or not? i notice they do also sell it sim free for £109 - unlock codes dont seem to be around for this phone yet.
Can anyone tell me what network TM run on?
i think the title should be changed. its £85 +£10 topup just checked in my local store

total £95

o2 Sims should work even if the phone is locked, Tesco mobile use o2 as their mvno network.
Definitely £85 + £10 top up so £95 total. Unlocked/sim free is £109.
Not so tempted by it now.
For £85 & a cheap unlock code then maybe but going into £100+ makes it less desirable.

Is it Quick Handed Dick? As in a person called Richard who is a keen gunslinger?
I saw 85 quid for a feature phone then I saw Alcatel

Alcatel are the Skoda of the phone world :-D

Bet it runs out of internal memory quick like most Alcatel's

this was my thinking too - was all up for it at £85 (the £10 credit can apparently be used to unlock direct with tesco) but £95 is pushing it considering the hassle

It's not 1999. Skodas are pretty decent these days.

Glad you’re happy - I disliked the Pixel 2 and have gone away from android again after the fake security updates issue that’s not yet been resolved. Not sure I’ll trust them again . Each to their own
Theres another post already on HUKD for the sim free version (£109)
Go through vouchercodes too to get a £10 tescos voucher when you spend over £100.....
Got one last weekend as PAYG and unlocked in store for 105. Decent phone, battery life very average, but for the money it's fine.
