Cost £70 in Asda now so work out at £20 for 6" handset after £50 cashback from Alcatel. Need to send any working phone back as part of cashback. Nothing mention on Asda website but it is one of the authorised resellers as per this link

Not bad for a 20 quid phone!!!
Is it going to be locked to Asda network and if so anyone know how much these unlock for?.. cheers
Jumping on that bandwagon.
So we can send back any £10 handset? Like alcatel or or nokia?
What do they mean by any feature phone?

What do they mean by any feature phone?

I guess a feature phone is anything with a camera, colour display, music player etc etc. In principle anything made in the last 10 years. I wonder if they'd take my old Nokia N70 lol.
bandwagon jumped. A £20 spare phone of modern spec cannot be a bad deal.
set up cheap delivery for Wednesday so can add some shopping too/cancel if someone realises the deal isn't what it seems lol
£7 Topcashback for new customers also (ends tomorrow)
Good price but will come locked to Asda Mobile and no unlock codes on ebay. You can get an unlocked, smaller version from CPW for £79.99 including a £10 topup hotukdeals.com/dea…583

Asda Mobile handsets are factory unlocked.
Good deal.

As this was posted sometime back as well; any one have successfully claim against a feature, do you need to send charger as well (as not clear in the terms).

Its 3G only!
MTK8321 Quad Core 1.3GHz, RAM 1GB, internal storage 8GB, MicroSD up to 64GB, 8Mpx + 5Mpx camera, GPS, microUSB, Dual SIM, Bluetooth 4.1, 2580mAh battery, Android 5.1 Lollipop
This is probably a good deal, but two things are not clear. Is this phone worth having, and what are the actual conditions? 🤔
Your device must be unlocked. You need to send back smartphone or feature phone. Feature phone?
Alcatels are so bad not for spec but for forcing adverts and ‘malicious’ apps onto the phone.

They file manager contains adverts that say you have a virus, will put ‘speed up’ tools on your notification centre and lock screen and download app from their ‘apps’ app without your consent.

I work with phones and the amount of alcatels over the past few week is frustrating!
you can get an a3 xl locked to tesco for £89 so £39 if the cashback pans out. Doubt there's a code to unlock it but can pay Tesco to do it I think? Not quite sure on that last point actually.
Why are 95% of retailers incapable of quoting the device specs in a clear and concise manner?
Hope its not a faff making a claim - trying look at the Ts and Cs but do we pay to send our old phone back? or do they send a prepay label?

but GSMarena is your friend

gsmarena is not always accurate, they're mixing up specs for phone models for different regions like Asia, US and Europe very often unfortunately...

I agree with comments. Is not a greatest phone but is a nice swap for something really old you dont use. And for £20 you cannot really moan.

Cex is actually giving over £50 cash for it at the moment so can make few quids if want to.

Heat for the £50 cash-back part.

ASDA has messed this up, I think. Their webpage mentions rollback to £70, you can not purchase this online, I checked with three stores, Crawley, Sutton and Burgheath and they all say the price is £85. When showed the webpage, they simply say that they can not honour the web-price.

I doubt anyone has actually been able to purchase it for £70!

New marketing ploy from Supermarkets, drag you out of home and once you are in the store, you might as well.... ;-)
A better spec deal is here, hotukdeals.com/dea…287

Online too, reserve and collect!

My local Asda had leaflets in-store advertising the cash back deal and the rollback to £70. Despite it scanning at £85 they honoured the £70 price but now I'm worried about the cashback because the receipt simply says "Phone" no mention of Alcatel at all.
The biggest swizz, had an email about my claim, saying my immaculate phone was 'damaged' and there would be a deduction of £38 on my claim - wonder how many others had experienced this..?
