Yes I had one great phone for the money, very lightly skinned version of marshmallow, the small differences are actually an improvement, if you can spot them, lovely screen, accurate colours.

It has nfc.

@OP

It only comes with a clear back cover, you don't get a flip case.

I say this one because of the spec

Is there a big difference?

There is not a big difference no. I would probably go for the Moto at this price as I'd be about 99% certain Motorola will support the device longer than Alcatel given track records.

Comparison on gsmarena here, they're virtually identical in specs:

I've voted hot on this deal cause I've not seen this phone cheaper but if I was to pick which one to buy given current prices. Moto all the way.

Some phones which meet the criteria (NFC and KitKat or above) don't work with Android Pay. Galaxy Note 3 is one of them, surprisingly. High profile phone like that

that is correct, eg newish elephone p9000 has nfc but does not support android pay because it did not pass google certification as elephone used dev keys in their rom build whereas my other Chinese phone, Honor 5c, works fine. I've had Alcatel in the past and have never once received an ota update from them. Price looks good for this though.

Yes I know I watch plenty of videos before buying including cloves, but you do not get a flip case, only a back cover and headphones, the ones from tesco are the same model 6055P. Maybe this is something that clove includes when you purchase from them.

Does anyone know if this is the 3GB or 2GB RAM model? The description on the Tesco website says 'The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4 is powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset paired with 2GB/3GB RAM.'

Think my joke went over your head there. oO

My partner has this phone, its better than my Galaxy S5 by a mile, she came from a broken iphone 5, the screen is excellent, the cameras are good, quickly focuses and no blur. its fast enough no lag on opening apps, call quality is great, speakers are better than average.

Best screen ive seen on a phone to be honest.

She paid £199 about 4 months ago and is happy with it.

My phone turned up yesterday. So initial thoughts:

Good
- Screen: bright and sharp with accurate colours and whites
- Ergonomics: fits the hand well with pleasing materials
- Aesthetics: looks really nice. Subtle but considered
- Software: basically stock with a few extras. My preference as looks nice and is fast
- Speakers: pretty loud for a a phone
- extras: headphones and Vr, though not the best, are quite nice for free

Bad
- camera: images are sharp, and even in low light are blur free. They are very noisy though. A step down from my previous Galaxy S5

Summary

With the above code, and some club card points, I got the phone for around £150. At this price the phone is really very impressive. It feels better than the S6 I've returned (battery and ergonomics) and, with the exception of the camera, is an upgrade to my Galaxy S5.
