8MP Camera - Fantastic

Was going to buy this until I found out the moto g.

Great price for it.

It looks like Moto G Killer. Good price drop + Quidco, nice!!

Is it possible to move apps to sd card ?? As i think 4gb isnt enough for apps alone

Moto G killer ? LTE (4G) and MicroSD memory expansion, comparison here:

phonearena.com/pho…208

Nice phone - had one of these for a while at work.

Always seems to get a poorer signal than the other phones in the office though

Got this phone through another deal. Heat added to this aswel. You can get it unlocked for 99p here ebay seller

I have been testing the phone for basic use over past few days as I'm new to android. Impressed so far. I would rec installing battery dr though as the background apps to chew the battery up. This app makes a major diference.

Hope this helps.

The provider ID is on a sticker on the back of the phone. However you can also get this ID inside settings/ regulatory & safety under cu reference.

Can this/Will this get upgraded to kitkat?

According to phonearena only 2gb is usable storage so only 2gb for apps?

That website is listing the Moto G as 4g which it isnt.

Amazing phone!

If I buy this can I put my T-Mobile sim into it without unlocking?

looks a great price

Grr website won't load!!

8MP Camera - Fantastic

8mp phone cameras range from good to absolutely terrible. I haven't used this phone but due to the cost of the phone I'm pretty sure the camera will be mediocre.

hi I was considering this phone until I read your comments

What network did you use it on? was the call quality then poor? I was hoping as it was 4g then signal in general would approve?

Looks nice, I will wait for the moto g II now doubt it is brewing.....

I doubt the engineers could forget to add a 8mega pixel camera and sd slot and 4G, if they did they should be all whipped then sacked.

Since when did engineers dictate what features are included in a phone !

8MP Camera - Fantastic

Is that, it's 8MP and Fantastic? Or Fantastic because it's 8MP? Yeah I know, call the grammar police brigade, but I'm interested in this phone and don't know enough about phone camera's to confirm whether the 8 MP on this phone will match the quality of that of one of a Sony Xperia Neo's 8MP Camera.

I'll beat somebody else to the post and say this this is a great deal either way!

there is another for 99p ebay.co.uk/itm…875 (this was mentioned in another Hukd thread)

I finally got a confirmed unlock code from this seller ebay.co.uk/itm…204?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649, as I'd been through quite a few that couldn't provide a valid code, apps can be moved to the SD card either manually or with an apps to SD card app, a task killer/memory booster app is essential to keep it running sweet as it's only dual core, but I wouldn't call it slow, BUT mine has just toasted the 32GB SD card I'd put in it, so I'm not sure whether it could cope with most of the apps being moved to the SD card and constantly accessing them from there.

I can't for the life of me get this phone to work on 5GHZ WiFi, neither as a client nor as a portable hotspot. Every specification I have read for this phone says "dual band" or specifically mentions 5GHZ, so what's the secret to making it work? It doesn't see any 5GHZ networks, but other devices in the same location see and connect to the 5GHZ network just fine.

I have spoken to Alcatel support and they were not helpful. They claimed that it only supports 5GHZ in "Portable Hotspot" mode. I tried this and could only see an SSID broadcast on 2.4GHZ. In fact, the WiFi diagnostics on my Mac listed it as 802.11ac on 2.4GHZ.

The links not working?

cheapest 4G phone?

The 6577 processor is 1 GHz not 1.2 GHz. Most Chinese sites get it wrong but you would have thought Alcatel would get it correct.

Moto G is #quad 'core 17000 antutu score, anyone knows how much does this Alcatel score in Antutu?

That website is listing the Moto G as 4g which it isnt.

And listing this phone with Snapdragon not MTK

Is EE website down for you lot too?

EE = absolutely terrible customer service. Bought one of these towards the end of last year but sent it back as a result of rubbish customer service. Tried several unlocking services on E.bay and none of them worked. Bought a Moto G instead. Good price for this phone but I would not consider anything to do with EE ever again.

Ordered one but ee customer service is the worst I have ever come across so may cancel and stick with Moto g, just fancied the bigger screen and 4g

To those who are moaning about EE, buy the phone , unlock it for 0.99p and hey presto... Use network of your choice

My bad experience has been with faulty phones not line rental, My intention however was to unlock and use other sim though

As I said I tried that but none of the unlock codes supplied worked. Rather than 'moaning' I would prefer to say that I was warning others of the potential pitfalls......

Prob won't happen now that Motorola has been sold by Google. Doubt any other company would sell as cheaply as Google do for a top quality handset. Eg Nexus 4/5, moto G.

Yes but Lenovo make and sell lots of good phones in China.
So designing and manufacturing an improved Moto G is easy for them . Nearly all Lenovo's phones are dual sim and include a microSD slot - so now Google don't own Motorola the replacement might have a microSD slot . UK networks would probably want them to be single sim though ( so they can lock them to their network)

FUUUUUUUUUU......... I wish this deal had come a couple of weeks earlier.

This phone was £130 whereas Moto G was £100. Not that Moto G is bad, but this phone looks stunning!

I was on low budget so I got Moto G.
