I'm thinking the same!

Does anybody know if you need to cancel anything to stop the £10 - 30 day pack reoccurring? It says the 30 days starts from when you first use it, but I can't find info on whether it auto renews.

Scroll down the page untill you see OR JUST TOP UP. I'll get sim without pack.
I own one of them don't worth nothing even 79 p. Is very slow you can't open applications, making the calls when he wants but not when you. Crap, don't waste your money. Better get old fasion Nokia. Batery it will last 2 weeks.
i purchased the Pixi 4 (5) as a spare have to agree with amarone82 Alcatel phones are not brilliant, very slow for the spec. but just my personal view.
Looks good but not sure it's a flagship killer.
Cheap for a mifi/hotspot device.......but not much else.
Bought two just for the music subs
Can I use this on another network like 3?

Choose a £1 Talk & Text plan and you can use the remaining £9 credit in the Play Store via mobile billing... or transfer £5 to PSN and spend £4 on Play.

Actually, you only start a plan when you make a call / text so you can use the whole £10 on Play.
Transferring to PSN requires a text so you won't get the whole £10 on there.

Can it be unlocked other than by EE that takes 10 days.

The price is small if you mean mass manufacturing costs. But like every phone other than the Fairphone (yes, including the iPhone and all Samsungs) the price is high in terms of human suffering needed to make them.

Though I accept most people don't care about child labour, slavery, conflict zone minerals needed to make them and such like. Let alone the recyclability or high carbon impact of the supply chain.

Ho hum!
Cheap device for 2FA.

Does the £10 credit expire 30 days after 1st use? i.e. will I have just 30 days to spend on Google Play apps or run the risk of losing it if I don't use it all?

Your credit won't expire for ages - only your allowances under your chosen plan.
If you don't start a plan (i.e. dont make a chargable transaction like a text, call or data use), your credit won't be touched.

To be sure not to touch your credit, you should probably start up the phone without the SIM inserted to disable moble data before it's available.

Don't buy any of the packs but scroll down the page untill you see OR JUST TOP UP and click it. If you don't use your PAYG sim to make a chargeable call/text/data in 6 months the sim will deactivate and you will lose your number and any credit.

Free unlock from EE could take days. Just purchase an unlock code from eBay for 99p and unlock in few mins.
I want an Android phone to use over wi-fi, not really interested in using it as a mobile. Can I use the £10 credit for a different Orange PAYG number and just not activate the SIM on this?
cant get transaction to go through keeps asking me for card details tried 3 different cards?? something about £2 being charged and refunded goes round in circles ??
