THE SWAP SHOP
Thursday 29th August

Donate food, get a cocktail.

We’re paying homage to the epic Burning Man festival by setting up shop for one day only. A swap shop that is...

This radical festival is renowned as a daydream space that values who you are, not what you have. So, in the spirit of this truly communal festival, we are asking you to bring in a non-perishable food item in exchange for a complimentary cocktail.*

All items collected will be given to a local food bank in your city. Simple.

Therefore dear friends, grab those cupboard cans, rice and pasta packets and head down to The Alchemist for our one day only swap shop.

Great offer imo, just ashame in one of the richest countries in the world we seem to be going back to Victorian times, with poverty on the increase, children going hungry on the increase, in work poverty on the increase, slum landlords / housing on the increase, the decrease of jobs which offer a decent level of pay where you don't need government funded benefits to look after your family. 21st century Britain circa 1850s. Going backwards not forwards

Educate yourself there are disabled people killing themselves
Just recently been to The Alchemist in Old Street, London. Their people are what makes them great aside from amazing food and cocktails.

Huge respect to them for encouraging and rewarding others to help people in need across the UK.

Great post OP
