Not especially, unless you mean in a caravan?

Who goes on holiday to watch TV?! You can do that at home!!!!

its a 19" HD ready for £100, not being funny but its hardly a good deal thats only average in todays prices

Another nothing special deal from Aldi that will get too much heat for what it really is.Didnt vote hotor cold.

says it has a pc input

"YPbPr Cable"

Why on earth? Surely HDMI would have been a better bundling.

Would this work in a house or is it just for caravans only? Don't want to start a fire or something.

Yeah, component, but no Scart connection, doesn't look like it was made for European markets? I imagine it's not Freeview HD either. If this was £75 or less it'd be a deal, at £100 I'm far from convinced. Having said that, having a 3 year warranty is something handy.

'HD ready' sounds pretty meanless.
Is it HD or not?
Does HD make any difference to a 19" screen

HD Ready usually means the TV can cope with HD pictures, but the inbuilt tuner can't pick them up. So it's 'ready' for HD from other sources. A resolution of 1366x768 suggests normal HD, which is fine for 19".

I agree with other posts, this is a distinctly average 'deal'. It took me a few minutes to find a better spec TV for the same price.

was looking for something similer for my home gym, looks like it will do the job cheers

You can also sit in a deckchair soaking up the rain at home as well.

A better spec 12V for £99? Please share.

Watch out for terrible menus and a remote that is illogical and awkward to use on cheap unbranded TVs like this. I have an almost identical spec TV that is a pain to use because of the menus and remote ( finding whats on certain channels is a chore - the TV guide only shows the current channel and cycling though them is slow ).
If you must buy cheap - get a Finlux - at least the remote and menu system is good ( with a proper TV guide )

Caravanners aparently... every time we go camping there is always one 'caravanner' holed up in their plastic shack with a satellite dish and cables running to their caravan.

Whilst we enjoy getting smashed, bbq'ing and making fires they sit inside and watch eastenders... it's a bit weird if you ask me.

Its 12v - it can run off a leisure battery in camper or caravan. You are comparing this to a standard 240v tv.
Similar deals available on eBay and Amazon but you have Aldis 3 year guarantee and the fact that you can go buy off the shelf rather than wait around for the postman.

Keeps the kids quiet if it's raining or they're wiped out after running around all day. Put a film on and they'll lie in the camper and leave the grown ups to get some peace and quiet!
Plus if the World Cup or Euros is on, you can put it near the door and watch the group stages with a few friends whilst the kids run around outside.

Scart is obsolete in the era of digital TV.

And again, how much do you think specialist Sat Navs cost? This is designed to prevent you taking your motorhome down roads unsuitable to drive down that your normal Sat Nav would normally send you.

7" Truck sat navs on eBay from £35~£80 - reviews seem to suggest that they work as well as the branded Garmin & TomToms. As for the campsite POIs these are freely available.

Ebay reviews are usually done within a day or two or receiving the item or at best after a couple of uses.
It may be a month or more later when the buyer finds himself reversing half a mile along a narrow country lane and realises that these cheap Chinese sat navs directions aren't quite as reliable as a TomTom or Garmins would have been. Or that the maps/speed camera database etc. are impossible to upgrade.
I've said for years that it'd be interesting to see how these cheap alternatives are rated after a few months use in the real world ;-)

Didn't actually read the ebay reviews, but from what I can see in the motorhome forums, users are generally positive

Does anyone know what watt this is?

Not if you still have items you need to hook up with Scart leads, which many do have. More so then use component anyway, at least with smaller and cheaper equipment, by a long shot!

had a look this morning and it says 6W on the bottom of the box. That didn't seem very good to me so I held off buying one :¬}

Great price for a 12v compatible TV. Usual story with offers like this though, I've been to 2 Aldi branches, not a sign of them. Has anybody got any update on the sainsbury ones mentioned earlier?
Edited by: "cmontgomeryburns" 26th Mar 2015

Just looked on celcus website, no mention of their TV being 12v compatible, so not comparable to this deal

Really? That's not what I've heard of peoples experiences with them.
