This is an amazing price for a Jo Malone style candle.
Went to my local Aldi and had to trawl through all of the candles there to find but one of these!
Smells divine and looks uncannily similar to the 'real thing.'
Great review here: goodhousekeeping.co.uk/new…out

You need to clarify your title and not just the description. It isn't a Jo Malone candle.

    Should be Aldi candle

    Better now?
Well if you want to really want to get into it's still not a Jo Malone candle
Not even sure why you have mentioned Jo Malone in the descriptor? Nothing like a JM candle for fragrance or burning time. You get what you pay for. I tried one of these when they first came out and the fragrance was barely noticeable. I won't be bothering with another.

Seconded. Tried one of these, can't see what the fuss is all about. Really poor value.

Only mentioned it as the link I added to the description states that it is a Jo Malone style candle. Is it me or is this post offending everyone? Shall I edit the title again?

Good housekeeping should have known better. The only similarity is that it is a candle. Other scented candle brands are available...
Sad demise of an offer posting I hope this doesn't break the OP's spirit ..

    Reminds me of a song

"And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
    When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
    Your legend ever did"
I'd give this a punt, bought a Jo Malone candle recently, not impressed at all for the price I paid. Yes it burns well but you can barely smell it. At least for £3.99 I'd expect to be disappointed...
Hot from me thanks. Going to try again for these now, last time they were flying out the door and everyone! loved them.
This scented candle delirium will has to pass eventually.

    It isn't offensive, it's incorrect.

This candle has more to do with Ronnie Corbett than it has to do with Jo Malone.
My jo malone candle isn't that great, I prefer Yankee.

Not strictly true! There are at least two people who have bought them and didn't love them at all!

    Is that you Reg?
I bought a few of these last time around - so far I've only tried the Lime, Basil & Mandarin variety. Must say it's not that strong, you can smell it - just - it's very subtle. hotukdeals.com/dea…174 Aldi released Freesia & Pear originally in the Jo Malone-alike style packaging but not this time around.

Sis had two of them burning merrily away the other week and I could smell the fragrance from them, but they're definitely not that potent.

Liked by mistake lol. Remind me again, how many of these Aldi candles could you buy for the price of one Jo Malone candle of the same/similar size?? Seems to me that jo Malone candles in this size range are selling at approx 40 quid per 100g. The Aldi candle's cost per 100g is 1.33!!! So you could have 30 Aldi candles burning for the price of ONE Jo Malone candle! Which scenario would create the most fragrance??

    I'm not a gambling man but I'd still put my money on the Jo Malone candle! Less chance of burning the house down too!:{

You are Jo Malone and I claim my prize (just as long as it isn't a ridiculously overpriced candle lol)...
Just a FYI, my local store (High Street, Glasgow) has the Reed Diffuser versions of these, and a big supply of all three varieties of candle.

I "quite like" the Lime, Basil And Mandarin one I have (only one I've used so far) but not sure I'd repurchase.

Thanks louiselouise! Funnily enough, I picked up a Pomegranate Noir reed diffuser today- £3.99. It smells divine! I have to say that the candles are lovely too - got another Pomegranate Noir one today as I was impressed with the scent.
