Cracking offer at my local Aldi Pelaw Gateshead

BAUHN DAB & FM TRANSMITTER. Originally 34.99 now reduced to 9.99. Seems a cracking bit of kit with easy installation. 2939767.jpg2939767.jpg

Posted numerous times. Still voted hot though. I bought one myself.
It’s a great piece of kit
What would the DAB quality be like?
Superb dab quality on the one i fitted in my car
DAB quality is excellent. Fitting is fiddly, you need to be able to remove the plastic trim around one side of the front windscreen to attach a bit of copper leaf to the metal framework for the aerial to work. The cable then has to run around a bit to connect to the device. You then have two further cables, one for power and one for the aux connector so it could not be described as tidy.
3 still available earlier today in Aldi, Fawdon. Marked up at £29.99 but scanning at £9.99.
Just fitted one today that I bought for £9.99 yesterday. Very impressed with it so far. My existing FM car radio loses the signal and just plays static noise on and off all the time on my commute - really annoying. Today I had 100% signal for the full journey, and superb quality. For a tenner it's an absolute bargain.

Fitting wasn't too bad. I Googled how to remove the trim around my Seat Altea window without breaking it and it popped off and back on quite easily. Obviously not all cars may be so easy.

Very happy with it.
I'm a bit confused abuot the DAB part of this - does this receive DAB, and rebroadcast it as FM for older stereos?

This receives dab signals and you connect it via the auxiliary socket in your car (if you have one, most modernish cars do). You alter your existing radio to aux and it plays dab through your speakers

Do you have to have an auxiliary socket? Is there a way to use it without?

Got one at Aldi Oldham earlier. Showed £29.99 but went through at £9.99. Fitted in my vectra very easily. Just need to figure out how to tidy up the power and aux leads now
Great bit of kit and if I can fit it, anyone can. Just don’t run your battery down until it’s flat revelling in your handy work like I did!

Mcvitie's? Purveyor of fine biscuits, cakes and the like? Seems these gadgets like the company of sugary treats!
Just a quick question guys, if you don't stick the copper and all the other parts to metal does something bad happen or can you get away with it. Thanks
