it has a tray for Ashes, I think tour referring to that. I put charcoal/logs in the grill with the slats and cook in the top grill. it comes with 2 grates. works perfectly and gets super hot. got mine from dunelm last year for 70 plus 10 delivery. very pleased.
whats up with the oven in your kitchen. 100 quid just to cook it outside dont see the point.

Yeah, the microwave cooks baked beans pretty well doesn't it? Faster too.

Yea I was referring to that. Anyway thanks for clarification.
do aldi still have people q up for special offers? - fancy one of these but guess they will sell out quick if so
I wonder if this has the removable pizza stone so you can use this like a standard BBQ as well as pizza oven. I can't imagine anyone would use this enough to warrant a purchase then have to store it all winter. you can get similar things off eBay for £80 without stainless steel features for anyone toying with the idea. still hot deal though. similar ovens on eBay with the same features are £160. heat from me
I also imagine you can only fit one pizza or maybe two smaller pizzas in this at a time which has its obvious restrictions for groups or families with more than two people.
They have something similar, almost identical in Robert Dyas for £149.99 down from £199.99 so makes this a good price if you want one. Not for me though.

If this is the La Hacienda one they are pretty good. Also Tesco had them for the same price a few weeks back (I know 'cos I bought one).

A proper pizza over will reach higher temperatures than a domestic oven can, +400c. Enabling you to cook an authentic pizza in 90 seconds or so.

Needs to be loads hotter than an oven can be ... this explains why .. heritagemorso.co.uk/blo…ter

You can buy them online, they do still queue but I doubt for this, they definitely still had one this morning in the Liverpool City Centre branch as I saw it.

I went in this morning and got one. Our store isn't big but had a good 9 in stock. Can't see them all going in one day with this weather anyway.

Yes, temperature makes the difference, but it doesn't just speed it up, it also makes the dough cook to perfection and seals the toppings cooking them without over cooking them
Yeah I'm going to vote a BBQ / Oven "HOT"
They had s couple in stalybridge aldi about 2 hours ago.
I love pizza, and the turkish version - pide too. I never knew these mini oven things existed - I always wanted to build a clay oven in the garden, but it's not really practical where we live.

I've just spent the last hour researching and I've managed to spend comfortably twice the aldi price, getting an Uuni 2s which looks simply fantastic - see here:

http://www.cuckooland.com/dnc/cuckooland/product/50233/uuni-2s-woodfire-pizza-oven-with-stone-baking-board?cat=0

Paid £247 for oven, extra peel, cover/bag and some pellets - 7% TCB

Yes, to some it might seem excessive, but looks like a great gadget and as I said, I love proper pizza.

Thanks to the OP for the idea!

I remember the kickstarter for this. Glad to see that they're in full production now.

Speaking of homemade ovens, a friend of mine made his own in his garden and, although it turned out very well, it didn't actually last that long - only a couple of years. I can't remember why, but it started falling apart. Possibly due to the drying out (cracking) from regular use. Now the thing is, it didn't cost him much in terms of building supplies but it took him a hell of a lot of time.

After it fell apart, he built another one with a firebrick dome and proper foundations etc. Again, the this was a massive timesink (100s of hours). This one looks absolutely stunning and ended up costing around $1000 NZ for the supplies.

Anyway...my point is...I think you've done well getting the Uuni. I'd be very keen to hear what you think of it as I've been planning to get one myself.

Where do you put the wood to get that proper wood fired pizza taste?
The very similar La Hacienda one is back in stock at Tesco direct for £100. It's in the Clubcard Boost too so potential to save £50.

I bought one last week and having used it to cook traditional style pizza, olive bread and Jamaican jerk chicken I can highly recommend. Obviously these things are not as good as much more expensive brick outdoor ovens but with a little care and common sense you can get good results. I do dream of having something like this one day though

Can I use this in my kitchen?

Yeah, give it a try. Let us know how the food comes out

Not very good at smoking food tho unless you leave it in too long....

I have one as well, it's extremely good but nothing compares to a wood fired pizza oven I'm afraid.
Buy a pizza stone from Home Bargains for £3.99 and put it on your BBQ, put the lid on an turn up the heat. Use mine all the time for home made pizza's and the results are fantastic !
If it isn't insulated then you are p1__ing in the wind & will rage through the supply of good low moisture wood you've obtained, whilst trying to maintain temperature.

Yes, the mini pizzas it makes look great! Just as well it makes them so fast because you're going to need 2 each
It arrived today (I'm impressed - 1 day after ordering, free delivery) and is now assembled (30 mins, easy) and ready for action. It'll make a decent 11"-12" pizza.

I'll be christening it on Sunday or Monday (weather dependent).

It's not all about size. you know...
