Went shopping for my mom's birthday on Sunday and came across 5 stems of gladioli for £1.59. Beautiful colour. These flowers seem to last ages. Now they've opened up they are gorgeous! Lots of flowers still available. Found them in the Wolverhampton A449 store but presume it's national??

Go on, give it aldi !
Seriously, they do a lot of good food stuffs. My eye was opened when my wife was pregnant and craving chocolate (any excuse) and Aldi is right opposite my work so on the way home I nipped in and seen the price of their 'fruit n fibre'. We'd only just switched to Morrisons own yet Aldi's were selling it for 99p ! That's around £2 cheaper than kellogs ffs. And its every bit as good as kellogs but loaded with fruit and nuts etc

Tesco and Asda have been ditched now in favour of Aldi as far as we are concerned

Good deal, one of my favourite flowers. If u really like the flower, I suggest buying some bulbs n planting them in spring for next summer (better to pot first) these are really really easy to grow and come back year after year with more flowers. U can get bulbs from many places, I prefer JParkers dwarf range on their website but they r also available in the poundshop so for one pound ull get 5 stems... year after year.

Are the ugly gladioli cheaper? (_;)

I wish there was an Aldi near me. I used to buy some very good cut flowers from one I used to go past years ago. Seasonal flowers are the best imo.
