Aldi's Bike Event starts on the 29th, including the fantastic value bike stand above for twenty five quid. The repair stand is probably the highlight, as they're really highly rated and sell out quickly every time they have these events.

Branded items (Muc-Off lubes etc) and their own brand 'Bikemate' stuff.
You can pre-order online now.

The Child's Bike Seat for £29.99 is excellent:

These are a great bit of kit and really raise the bike up to a good level.
I got one a few years ago and it seems the only adjustment is that some orange has been thrown in for extra style points!

As usual with Aldi/Lidl deals though, you have to be quick before stock vanishes.
Ordered.. Thanks op
Got one of these great for the price. Towards the end of the event my local dropped price to £15 to get rid of the last few
Always seems like this is just Something you don't need but Same as above - managed to get one for £15 I think when reduced last year, but it's genuinely useful.
No more trying to faff with gears whilst upside down!

Having one of these will influence you to take better care of your bike(s) as it will be so much easier maintain.
Hope they’ve updated the crappy mechanism for securing the bike and dumped the wing-nut.
The lidl one has a better clamp for securing the bike - like Kristoff has mentioned the wing-nut set up on this is not brilliant.

From the image it doesn't look like a basic wing nut, but I don't know what previous ones were like.
Yep these are ace and save you a lot more from having to go to your LBS for simple work and maintenance.
If you have an Edinburgh Bike ( not just Edinburgh) near you I think their bike stand is miles better and its only a fiver more in their sale and is nearly always in their sale ( x2 a year).
Picked one up at store this morning. Also got child’s helmet which are excellent, lights on the back as well great quality. Got some wet lube and chain cleaner. Also some gloves for the kids. And the stand all for £42. Was going to pay £40 in Halfords just for the stand .
Got one of these last year for £15, almost all stores next to me had stock by time it came to price drop time. They are really good. Works great, brilliant buy.
It's pretty good, got it a few years ago.

As ever, you can probably wait and get it reduced later in the sale if you can be bothered to check when a new event comes along.
Any recommendations on a bike rack to go on a car, not too pricey...
Don't forget, if you have a carbon frame bike, don't hang your bike by the frame; use the seat post instead.
I got one from Lidl a few weeks back and used mine loads already. I have not bothered using the steering arm thing to hold the front handlebars as I can manage without and I turn the little tray (which is handily magnetic) around the back so out the way but its a great bit of kit and its been admired a few times when I have had it out with people asking were I got it from

i never considered this thank you. just ordered a new bike with carbon forks and never considered how brittle they may be with force in the wrong direction.

And if you have a dropper seat post , don't hang your bike from it, use the frame.

If you have a carbon frame and a dropper seat post, well, your screwed. And have too much money.
Just built this stand very good quality and sturdy. Only issue was the tool tray fitting wasn’t straight so very hard to get the screws lined up for the holes. Apart from that was good
These are good but there's not much in the bike event this time.

Ok scratch that. They don't seem to do any of their own brand stuff anymore, which is a pity as it was generally vet good.

Yep - I bothered to read the instructions for my carbon bike and it specifically said that you mustn’t clamp the top tube in a bike stand, as it’s not designed to withstand the pressure.

I bought a cheap little stand from one of the online bike shops that supports the bike on the rear frame and holds the rear wheel off the ground. It’s not brilliant but it was cheap and works when you’re setting up or lubing the gears...

alternatively, just don't clamp it shut? the design of the clamp is tapered so my carbon framed road bike sits in it nicely, if I find its moving too much just loosen it back until its not so tight that its compromising the frame? I've had this bike stand for around 3 years now and its done me well, often I hang both bikes via seat post regardless but have needed to use the frame and it has a good range of motion that I have never been worried about the frames integrity
