That time again when the wee one gets her first proper bike and dad gets a sore back. So opted this time for an alternative.
£14.99 was the cheapest I could find one of these. Popped into Aldi to get one and there are a load of them reduced to £7.99.
Happy days!
All the colours in stock(black, pink and blue)
Found in Gorgie store Edinburgh, assistant said it should be national.
Still £14.99 online.

These do save your back but are not actually the best thing to use to teach a child to ride without stabilisers.
You should not be holding onto the bike (or an extension on it) for security as this means that it's you that are balancing the bike not them. You should be holding on to the child themselves (back of the coat or one of the great learn to cycle harnesses) for security so that they learn to balance the bike so learn faster.
I say this as someone who bought one of these before looking into the best way to teach your child to cycle

These are great if your kid is coming from a balance bike. As she knows how to balance it is just for aiding her until she can incorporate pedaling.
Thanks but my bike is past the training stage now.
My kid went from balance bike to regular bike when he was 3 and it only took a day. Don't set yourself up to fail by buying one of these, it shouldn't take long enough to justify the price.
Just use a broom handle down the back of the seat wedged in the seat stays....works a treat!
