Ok so it’s only go a £10 saving. But this rotivator from Aldi literally is a great bit of kit. To hire one of these would be more than this. And I can honestly say it’s been amazing. Surprisingly!!!

Do you know if it has a clutch? i.e. what would happen if it got a big rock/metal bar caught in it's tillers? Genuine question as there's some wasteland I fancy clearing but I know what's under the surface so not sure if one of these would work.
👌👌
Really not sure, this is the info provided. We had already removed the brick border

Looks like just what i need before seeding my garden.

But id like to know about clutch also as there will be rocks and stones beneath the soil.
1050w is good. I have a similar 1400w electric tiller and it has impressed me.
I guess it doesn't have a clutch but this isn't a problem as the tines spin so quick that they "bounce off" larger objects , like bricks.
Mine has never jammed or stopped.
No messing with petrol / fairly quiet / lightweight - easily lifted with one hand.
Will this chop up thick weeds?

Would it work ok on hard thick clay soil ? Its hardened up and compacted quite a bit as the days get dryer in my garden.
My garden is hard clay but has been dug a few years ago with plant shreddings added.
My tiller only "nibbles" away at the underlying clay 10 inch deep - it is recommended to loosely turn the clay soil over - the tiller easily breaks up any lumps
Weeds have no chance - but I have to cut some that end up wrapped around the blades now and then with old carving knife.
