Aldi - Gullon Sugar Free Biscuits Including Cookies 69p

Have been buying these for around a week since first spotting them. There are 3 types, Shortbread (99p) Cookies (69p) and Maria (99p)
Without doubt, these are the best biscuits I've tasted that are sugar free. I've been a diabetic for 6 years and the one thing i've missed terribly are Cookies. These 'Gullon' ones are great, the chocolate is the typical sugar free dark stuff and quite hard, but the biscuit part is amazing for sugar free, they come in packs of around 14. The shortbread is really good too, and comes in a larger box with 25+ in it, not tried the Maria. I did a bit of research on these and amazon sell them for at least twice as much !

thank you
ive tried them they taste great

These are only 1 syn each on Slimming World, so I'll be giving them a go, thanks heaps!

the shortbread!

I got these before Xmas in the 99p store - even better at 69p!

Didn't know these existed. I might get some for my daughters party as some of the mums don't like giving their kids sugary stuff. Thanks!

We drive past this biscuit factory in Spain,it's enormous!
In the middle of nowhere but a land mark to us on our drive home through Spain.
I got quite excited when I saw them in ALDI!

2 packs (2 in box) end to end would be a long ginger biscuit pact if that makes sense, not bad taste too...

there's 14 in the cookies and about 30 in the shortcake boxes ...

these are pretty nice, especially for diabetics like myself. Heat.

Would be excellent if Aldi could start providing sugar free items. I too am diabetic.

Have some heat, we've cut the sugar crap from the kids diets what a difference behaviour wise, will need to try these from them

Excellent. Very tasty. As a Diabetic I hope they continue to stock these. Voted Hot.

Does anyone know what they use instead of sugar...? Some sort of sweetener I presume?

Yes, just got some in store now.It has sweetners (maltitol and isomalt).

I have been a Diabetic for over 33 years but these biscuits still increase my blood sugar. As all diabetics should know, it's the total carbohydrate value that affects the blood sugar and not what proportion of which are sugars. Artificial sweeteners and fruit sugars also effect my blood sugar.
I have however tried all 3 varieties, but I wouldn't call one of them a shortbread, it doesn't have any characteristics of a shortbread, The one zoopakev is referring to, the one with the ridge effect on the top of the biscuit is the best in my opinion. It has about 4.5 gm of carbohydrate which equates to a dose of insulin in the range of 0.5 of a unit. 10 GM of carbohydrate equates to 1 unit of insulin required. Diabetic be warned, you can munch through quite a few of these biscuits. The Marie ones aren't bad either!

They maybe sugar free so good for fatties & those looking to reduce their sugar intake... but diabetics need to worry about the other Ingredients that eventually turn to surgar

There are 50 biscuits in the shortbread pack 2x25.
330g total.

I got some and gave them to the dog. Nasty.

Jus signed up and got a sugar swaps kit as soo much hidden sugar in so much foods now days! My kids will for sure be grateful op for this post as I've banned biscuits lol but will let them have these if sugar free... HUGE thanx frm all in my house to you for sharing this deservedly heated from me

I suggest you to try gullon digestive. It is from wholemeal flour not plain. I bought it in 99p shop.

absolutely right all carbs turn to sugar it's terrible that diabetics aren't educated property about this. lchf the best thing I ever did. I'm now in remission inside 6 months....

You had me up until sugar free then I lost interest.

Could someone tell me how many carbs are in one of these biscuits please

QD Stores and 99p stores sell some biscuit varieties from the same company as well

Do they contain artifical sweetner as this can be toxic to dogs, guessing your guy was ok?

The Maria biscuits are lovely and crisp. Just right with a cuppa.
