Why no indication of ABV? Poor. Might be a lovely wine, but come on, a full description from Aldi would be helpful.

Vin rouge toujours!
I've already written my shopping list for tomorrow!
Hope I can beat the local alkies to it! … or should that be the OTHER local alkies!

who in their right mind is going to drink wine that costs £3 per bottle?!!!

may as well not bother to be fair.

Read the ABV on the website if the deal takes your fancy.

It is not about the price, some of Aldi's wines have won awards. So it is quality and value.

Flylife shouldn't even be a member of HUKD with idiot comments like that. How foolish

I don't think they shouldn't be members, just think they should try before condemning. Aldi have carried out many 'blind' wine tests over the years and people say they prefer their wine without even knowing it is from Aldi. I love a glass of nice wine but wouldn't hesitate in buying most of these.

Are these not usually 2.99 anyway?

I don't drink wine, but I remember the BBC program Food and Drink would regularly recommend wine in this price bracket.

The Grapevine Wines are always £2.99.
The Merlot is 13% and the Chardonnay is 11.5%
Been buying the Merlot for ages as it is an excellent wine.

Any aldi wine Costing £3.99 or more will trump the supermarket so called half price was £9 now £4 wine. Got a bottle of the barolo for £10 from aldi last week and it was better than anything I've ever had from tesco or bloody Morrison's. As most people know, the half price supermarket wines are only ever worth half price Max.

Aldi have another version of the toro loca Reserva it's £4.99 a bottle only seen it a couple of times in there and got it each time it's excellent

We tried the Merlot....yuk. But Aldi's Ballycastle (Baileys) is alright for 3.99.

I have been buying their Toro Loco Tempranillo (£3.59p) for months now and it IS a decent drop of red wine. Great with their Speciality Gourmet Rosemary Crackers and Lye Cross Farm Vintage Cheddar!!! When it won the awards Aldi couldn't get enough supply and it took a few weeks before it appeared back on the shelves. (Ashington store in Northumberland).

gotta laugh at folks looking down their nose at Aldi stores yet regulars on HUKD

Some wines are OK from Aldi.I like the toro loca at £3.59 a bottle but don't lets get carried away with so called good wines. Most of these wines are for the lower end of the market.Go to a proper wine merchant and get some quality wines, its Christmas.Look at the awards these Aldi wines have won, have you ever heard of them?

Flylife 38 posted deals, nearly 3 years membership, jamiebobski 2 deals posted, under 2 months membership.

Think of it as their loss, your gain. If lots of people bought this wine, the price would increase

Only if you're someone who likes wine

Decent wine much better than other super markets for the price.

cheap red wine, sorry 'inexpensive' red wine, that and the reduced cheese board at aldi a perfect combination!
