ALDI are selling their motorcycle gear again. LightRider has already posted the jacket, http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/crane-certified-motorcycle-jackets-89-aldi-2643792

Would not accept the URL the link is

But there is some other good stuff as well. I don't think as good as previous years. No lock, boots or Helmets ( Don't comment on helmet please). Although there is some woman gear this year! Some on line the rest from Thursday 30th in store.
At my local ALDI - Yarm, they still have a lot of stuff, but now with about 25% off.

This year's stock is pretty rubbish. Don't need new textiles wanted a new chain etc.

The certified stuff is very good at this price point, not many of the higher priced gear has been rated for abrasion protected but only for impact protection on the armour. I've been told the sizes are a little larger than you'd usually expect so keep the receipt.

Always the same crap on every bike thread.

As a bike rider AND a car driver, I see far more arrogant/dangerous cars on the road than I do bikes!

Shame it's textile - looking for some new leathers myself.

If you're a biker and a car driver; you're guaranteed to be a better and safer driver on road. Respect on the road is one thing that's missing and also on this thread.....

I agree but there's no point in pointing out facts to Mr Stupid
He still pays road tax even though he owns it...go figure!

Keep chatter on topic, please chaps

Anyone know the sizing?
I'd be temped with a pair of the gloves, but can't see any size guides.

Just took a 20 mins walk to buy a bike cover only to be told that they are sold out. I was there at 8.30am. It seems that they did not even get them in the stores and they were sold out online before even reaching the stores

I'm usually a Large in gloves (hein gericke, Astars, Frank Thomas, Gerbing) but the mediums fit me better in Aldi - I picked up the last pair of "Carbon" from Colne this morning. No "padded" left in M, just XL and L.

Thanks.

Looks like I'd be better saving the money and effort and looking elsewhere.
I have trouble get gloves small enough and thought the small might have been worth a punt at £20.

Gloves looked pretty good for the price, but i have enough mc gloves.
Kevlar jeans were ok, marked as 31" leg but were a lot longer than that. I normally take 34" length and they were long enough for me. Come with CE body armour pads in knees.
Worth £40 i reckon.... for the summer, better protection than normal jeans and not as sweaty as leathers.

Also bought the WD40 chain wax...... not used this make chain wax before, so worth a go for 3 quid.

Have been using it for last 12 months on Z1000SX, CRF230F and 250EXC-F - seems fine.

Obviously not got yer Bandit anymore then....
I've had four of em over the last 20 yrs.... a 6, 2 x 12's and the 1250.

Ordered some of the CE level 1 jeans and they've just arrived. Look decent enough for £50. CE certified hip and knee protectors and the APT-Tech lining is apparently rated CE level 1 for exceeding 4.5 seconds abrasion resistance in all zones, so fully lined between the denim and the visible inner mesh lining.

As others have mentioned, they are a bit baggy but I knew the smallest size would require a belt for me anyway.

I'm impressed with the jeans also. Don't know why they are marked up as 31", they measure 34" and fit my 34" legs.
