Could do with these this very second while my little lad is on one, lol
Noise cancelling seems very good, I am impressed! Shame not Bluetooth, but Cable does detach, so you can use just to mute the world around you should you want to, with no trailing wires.

Actual active noise cancellation for a fiver?! or noise isolating?

It has a switch, so assume cancelling?

Bit harsh considering the deal was clearly stated as spotted in store. A quick search on the website and I don't see a webpage for the headphones.

And was clearly stated that it was nation wide. not in Maesteg store
Anymore instore? I will be going to Vantage Citroen Morecambe 2moro from for my car service
Might pop into my local Aldi to see as I'm searching for something like this for my psvr. I sit in the lounge and none of other sets have noise cancelling to cut out the TV and our pets.
Obligatory:

This or QC35?
This junk couldn't even cancel out a silent fart

Do you own a pair of these then?
I got these for £25 a few months ago. Obviously not the best but they do very good job for the price. I'm glad I got them as they are useful in noisy libraries and coffee shops.
They are comparable to my Sony MX1000s which pisses me off a little..... The Sony's are better but at 32 times the price, they are not 32 times better.
None at St Anne's. Not even a clue if they have or will have them. Just like an Asda or Tesco goose chase for the Fylde Coast again.

Assuming you mean MDR-1000X? Comparable in what sense? The cancellation? If so I seriously doubt it given that the 1000X was the, scientifically, best rated cancellation and isolation of any headphone until it's successor came out.

What does comparable mean in this context though ? I mean a Dacia is comparable to an Aston Martin in so much as they are both cars, but they are qualitatively different in every single way.
If you're saying you've listened to both, side by side, and can't hear much difference then you've had a result as you can buy cheap audio equipment forever more?
I think this is a social media campaign by Morecambe Tourism.

"Hurry to Morecambe because.... Aldi"

Steve Piers! Come on mate. I'd have fallen more-readily for C. Gull.

None in either of my local stores. Great find though.
Anyone found any, or seen any in store? I was going to order a few cheapish ones for the kids from Amazon, these would be ideal and half the price, some indication would be great before I go hunting.

Ernie's oppo ....Eric Morecambe

None in my stores in South Birmingham

You deserve a promotion anyway.
I bet Morecambe looked like Paris on Nutella-day.
I went looking in Edinburgh and didn’t find any, so either it’s a really limited stock or not really national

Which store did you get yours in? I went in both yesterday and couldn't see any left
Might nip to Carnforth later and see if they have any.
None in Carnforth
I'm just in Kendal and they haven't got them. The guy in Morecambe asked me what colour I wanted and said through his earpiece that they had lots of the red and a couple of black. I got the black . I guess they have all sold out now.
Reckon so - shame

Yes. These were a reduction. The original selling price was about £25 a few months ago. All Aldi price reductions are store specific. The manager has 100% responsibility and targets to hit. So if another store still has stock it may only have a 10% reduction or even no price reduction at all.
