Previously on sale for £199, the Shepton Mallet store is now clearing these at £99. These may be a manager's special peculiar to the Shepton branch only, if so then probably not a hot deal but may be worth checking your own branch.

Don't know what the quality of Medion products are, but a 22" Widescreen monitor for £99 seems a good deal.

Aldi were advertising a 22" Widescreen TFT monitor back in March this year for £190. I don't know if it's the same model as this one, but if it is the full specs & picture can be found at this link if that helps : ]http//ww…htm

£129 in Aldi Sandal

spec looks good to me:

# Response Time typ = 5ms
# DVI-D and VGA Interface with HDCP Encryption and Automatic Signal Detection

Will stop by my local Aldi tomorrow and have a look. Not keen on the light coloured surround but if i can get it for £100 i'll be well happy.

Should definitely include £99 in the title!

I initially read this as £199 on the home page as I don't automatically look off to the right!

On another note - my local Aldis never seem to have any of these computer deals at all. Just the usual USB sticks and MP3 players.

I often hear bad reports about Medion customer service, however, admittedly I have sold it now, but a couple of years ago I bought a 19" 4:3 LCD Monitor from Aldi, something went on the internal power board on it, within its 3 yr warranty, no fuss repair, was sent off and returned in 7 days both collection and delivery courier.

Monitor qualities seem good as well.

Seems a totally hot deal at £99

22'' for £99 and 3 year cover, vinndaloo:)

Advise people not to get too excited! :-) I was in several stores around the Leicester region only a few days ago looking for somthing else but checked out the monitor and they were all at 149.99. 99 or 129 must be local deals.

Proly not selling to well at Shepton Mallet, they appear to do this when things don't shift in a given store.

Not surprised they don't sell too well in a town called Sh*t n smell it lol ;-)

This is clearance of old stock so it is limited availability, stores that now have them at the higher price have the new stock in.

whats the difference in old stock and new stock? Is it spec / packaging or actual colour of monitor?

I was surprised the store does seem to have quite a few, a rough guess would be 10 on display plus the empty boxes.

I bought the 22in Fujitsu Siemens monitor over the weekend from Tesco so went to collect today and also bought this one today, so will compare and keep the one I'm happy with.

Aldi assistant said I have 30 days to return for any reason as long as I keep the reciept.

Damn, went to Dundee Aldi and no stock... nightmare!

Can you tell us which you think is better...

Well I would tell you all my comparsion of the monitors but as I was unpacking the monitor I noticed some shiny silver tape on the stand attachment so dad advised me to repack and take to store. So I haven't even powered it.

So can't really compare just yet. At the moment I would say the build of the Fujitsu Siemens 22" TFT Monitor (L22-11) is better although it doesn't have a tilt/adjust angle screen and only a d-sub and audio connection it does the job for £106-£110 depending on which voucher used or picked up in store/delivered.

I just checked the reciept and I was charged £99.99 for the monitor (ok just 99p more than mentioned, lol). It does come with a uk power cable (5amp fuse), 15 pin d-sub and dvi cable, an audio cable and manual with a cd.
