is this like an ordinary tap but bendy
Aldi sells reliable stuff with no messing about guarantee.

Yea, but don't use it with hard water, it gets stuck in the bend.
App says on the 10th op
I've had one of these installed for about two years now, absolutely superb with no issues whatsoever. Great product and a fantastic price. P.S I live in a hard-water area, no problems experienced to date.
But why would you want one of these? Fine in a professional kitchen for rinsing the plates but not the best thing for filling your kettle!
oh, I can't wait for Aldi to finally come to North Devon - next year though oO

Only works with bendy water also

Lol
I had one that looked like this, but I had a problem where water leaked in from the hole at the bottom of the 'springy' bit and into the units under the sink.

This is most probably a better design though.

I don't mind the one store opening for people that want to shop there but when about 8 stores open in your town affecting local retailers you start to wish they hadn't. Worst supermarket by far, horrible looking stores, horrible food, low quality products and horrible customers

We only have a Sainsbury's where I live, but have a Lidl opening soon. I travel 8miles to shop at Lidl in Doncaster as i'm sick of paying over the odds for inferior stuff. Asda, Morrisons etc etc are all the same difference but I still go Lidl.
Hello agreed with above post showing 10/9 on app

Rubbish

Lidl and Aldi are not for everyone...
I and plenty of others who do like them, will continue to shop there

Try one first, we have one, albeit not this one, ours is Bristan branded and was about £100 off amazon. Lots of small things are easier, ie rinsing out the sink, cleaning salad, potatoes etc, spraying the kids, etc etc

You can change them from a spray to a jet so filling the kettle is no different.

I wouldn't agree the food is rubbish, a lot of what we have had is pretty good, we mainly go at Christmas time thought for the stolen and chocolates etc.... nom nom nom.....

That said the stores are utter tripe, I hate them, ours has no baskets, trolleys only which need a £1 (I pay everything card) so I have to carry all my shopping, the tills are always rammed so take ages, then you get rushed through, I've even been told not to bag my stuff up just put it in a box and bag it up by the window.... S0d that, I'd rather pay more for the casual approach of waitrose.
You've *even* been told to bag stuff in the bagging area?! Whatever next?!
What a lot of moaners on here! I have a Lidl and Aldi unusually around the corner from here and I reckon I do about 80% of my shopping from there, with the remainder (grudgingly) from Tesco. I've no issues with the quality and I'm fussy about what I eat. Now that I have a Lidl discount card every week I get money off! £4 off £20 next week's shopping so it's a no-brainer.

BTW - I have the same tap that purchased two years ago from Aldi and no issues.

It's Tesco and the like that have destroyed local retail in most areas, particularly as all 4 of the big guns now operate local/express stores (although with higher prices than their main stores to add insult to injury!).

I find Aldi and Lidl (at heart their new sites near me) refreshing - easy to get around and just buy the stuff I need rather than lots of variants of the same and whilst the queues appear long, they go down quick when people make use of the bagging area.

I'm pretty sure Aldi don't plant the horrible customers.

My point is why can't I just bag up at the till like every other supermarket?

Agree. Aldi have an incredibly efficient supply chain managed with typical German flair, which leads to the kind of prices they can offer. Not all of their products are poor quality though, they've surpassed Waitrose and M&S in their recent wins in own-label products, and won big at wine challenges as well.

The stores might not look like M&S,but the food quality is the same as others and better than some
Sainsbury's value range for example some awful low quality there and not cheaper than Aldi.

Loads of cards as soon as you go into the store. Hopefully after the trial it'll go mainstream so everyone will be able to benefit.

I think you'll find the "horrible customers" are already in the town, they don't come with the shop :P
Do all stores get stock of these or is it a scattergun style supply?
Been waiting on these turning up again, HEAT!
Just a quick question for people who own this tap or a similar type of tap... does the bar in the middle holding the spout part get in the way of cleaning dishes? Would be interesting to know as I'd like to get one but my wife thinks it will get in the way with big dishes/pans. I am assuming that the bar and the spout part all move together... if they move independently then it wouldn't be a problem.

Why is anything different from anything else? Sure, most UK supermarkets have a bagging area per till, but that doesn't mean it's how all supermarkets need to be - Aldi and Lidl have a communal bagging area, so those who need to bag up can move away from the tills to do so and the queues move faster for everyone :-) That is, until someone insists on trying to bag up at the till rather than moving to the bagging area!
Feel like I'm flaming you here but I'm really not - each to their own, and, like you said, you prefer Waitrose, so all's well. Just different strokes for different folks :-)

You finished with how I was going to respond there.

There's loads of comments slagging off people that don't like lidl, I merely gave my reasons for not making it my primary source of shopping, I do the occasional small amount of shopping there and buy the odd chainsaw, tool accessory etc but for me it feels like cattle being shoved through, but it's like that for the price which I totally get. I'll stick the more casual shopping experience of waitrose, sainburys etc, like you say, each to their own.

All that said, this does appear to be a good deal which is why I came on the post and voted hot in the first instance.
Aww man, I wasn't in the market for a new kitchen tap but this might have me pulling the trigger sooner!
I bought a new mixer tap from eBay (get what you pay for!) a few years ago finally got it fitted a few months back, find out today that the hose has as a hole in it so needs replacing! What I found with the tap I bought was the pressure was non existant when using hot water. I see the description says not suitable for low pressure supplies. How can I find out it I have a low pressure supply as the previous mixer was fine?
Shows as in store from Thursday 10th on their website so don't make the mistake of going tomorrow folks aldi.co.uk/en/…-1/
