We thought it was a good price. Especially as there was a purple one that my wife liked!

Google shopping shows around six quid as an average price.

I got one today and thought it was a good price too, heat added!

I think these are £3.99 in B&M, and includes a case to put the flask in. We needed a 500ml one, which was £2.99.

been using one for ages now.

drinks are hot for more than 6 hours usually. had my tea today - made at 5.30am, still warm at 3pm.

That's just because the cooler it is, the more slowly it cools. It was probably only "hot" for six hours.

Don't like these flasks with the push button top...... they're liable to leak and they're hard to clean properly and harbour bacteria.
I prefer the ones with a solid top that you just unscrew part way to pour.

I hear it keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. How does it know? :O

Don't mind me, I'm only here for the comments.

I'm disappointed with the comments

looks like cock and **** in the small pic.

The last time I had to hand in a urine sample to the doctors I used one just like this!! To his horror there was still steam coming off the pee when he opened the lid!!!! I was mortified!! I can vouch its great for keeping the heat in liquids!! Great find and brilliant price! oO

Cheaper in Ann Summers

I've come across girls who wouldn't even flinch using that flask.

You can get the same thing at most supermarkets for the same price, sorry not a hot deal.

Most supermarkets carry the metal flasks, but they arent vacuum flasks

We looked at ones in Sainsbury and Tesco but they were just stainless steel and not vacuum flasks.

Huh ?..... The ones in supermarkets are vacuum flasks. They are double walled like all SS flasks. The vacuum is in between the inner and outer wall.

You're opening up a can of worms there.... although there is no accepted scientific explanation, hot water can be frozen faster than cold water. Don't know if it extrapolates out to luke warm tea in a flask though

I imagine that might have something to do with evaporation! Liquid in a sealed container exposed to typical ambient temperature should behave as any other object and cool logarithmically, if that's the correct term.

Not normally at this price range. They are invariably just filled with a polystyrene layer between the skins, or even just air.

In my experience, if it's stainless steel on the inside then it's not vacuum.

I didn't expect all this scientific talk!

My wife bought the purple one simply because it is a "pretty colour" and I'm sure at only £3.99 there will be others who have bought it because of the colours!

You obviously don't know what you're talking about.... Even the flask in this deal IS stainless on the inside wall.
All vacuum means, is that there is a space in between the inner wall and the outer wall, either glass inner and plastic outer, or SS inner and SS outer. Its this space that keeps heat or cold inside the flask.

is that picture of the red one a bit phallic or is it just me. heat for that

Paddy walks into a shop and sees a Thermos flask on the shelf.
"What's that then?" he asks.
"It's a Thermos flask." replies the shopkeeper.
"What's that do then?" he asks.
"It keeps your hot things hot and your cold things cold." Says the shopkeeper.
"I'll take it" Paddy says.

Later at the pub, Paddy is talking to his friend Patrick when he pulls out his Thermos flask.
"What's that?" asks Patrick.
"It's a Thermos flask, it keeps your hot things hot and your cold things cold."
"That's amazing, what have you got in it then?"
"Well, I wanted to save some money, so rather than buying stuff from here, I decided to put some nice hot tea in it along with two choc-ices..."
