Wow, that's super cheap! We'll have 8 people to feed over xmas so I'l be stocking up on these. Thanks for the heads up!

Bargain, although i normally find their fruit and veg doesn't last very long.

bargain

Great for us but how little are the farmers being paid

'Stinky' broccoli? I always though such depth of feeling was reserved for Brussels sprouts.

ul have to wait after Xmas but u never know it's been 1p for all fresh fruit and vegetables at aldi in I think 2011 or 2012. but u can always try asda late evening they reduce dated stock to as low as 5p a pack sometimes or even 3p

Think I can just about make out that the super 6 is Sun 18 - Sat 24.

Haha! There's barely the room for us 8! Plus 5 of those are kids so I doubt you'd want to be in the room once the sugar hits them. :P

Why do some idiots not realise when things are sold at a cheap price like this, that the store will not be making a profit, may even be making a loss. It's not that producers are not being paid much, or in the case of the cheap school uniforms that children in sweat shops abroad must be making for next to nothing.
These goods are sold cheaply to encourage people to go to the store and then they are likely to buy other goods.

Maybe add in the detail for those viewing this post on a laptop who cant see which food is included, what weight/number:

Broccoli
Gem lettuce
Maris piper
Parsnips
Carrots
Brussell spouts

these deals usually run from Thurs to Wed for 2weeks and the Xmas Super 6 in the past has been 3 weeks, not saying the op is wrong, but popping in later , shame no satsumas

What they're supposed to be so don't worry. Aldi and Lidl were one of the first signers of the NUF's fruit and veg pledge which basically promotes sustainability and decent prices for farmers. Being German companies, it wouldn't have surprised me if the were some of the last of the big supermarkets.

This and most cheap prices are loss leaders to increase footfall. It's practically impossible for a company to transport 2kg of potatoes all over the country and still make a profit on 19p a bag.

Thanks Op

That a great deal, at last thanks very much for the Post I will help me save a but for Xmas xxx

You get what you pay for! Enough said.

can't beat some maris pipers for 19p

http://static.hotukdeals.com/images/threads/high-res/2574757_1.jpg

Super hot, never mind you get what you pay for just how much better is a maris piper spud grown in mud from m+s as opposed to from aldi

Blimey. Didn't think they'd top last years 29p Super 6.

Aldi fresh produce lasts just as long as any other supermarkets in my experience.

Go Aldi. Offers like these can make a big difference to those on a budget.
