For funsize read small. Small overpriced grade B fruit . Aldi and Lidl are really poor now. Better prices at the supermarkets and better quality too.

    HEAT!
    HEAT!
    AND MORE HEAT!!!!!!
Not worth paying for poor quality fruits..Aldi use to be good, not anymore
    No veg!
Price is creeping up, and small portions too. Tesco have some 49p offer on at the moment, bought some nectarines for 49p this morning and there were some other fruit/veg on the end promo stand.
I must admit, Aldi fruit is very hit and miss, I've had some tasty packs of pears & apples in the past but I've also had some that have been horrendous. I have noticed the prices creeping too, months ago these fruits would of been 49p or so but now they're 65p and there orginal price is around 79p, a saving of 14p!
no good for me this week, dont eat fruit (apart from the ocassional few berries)
Their strawberries have been disgusting this year. Tasted really chemical!

Price inflation may have something to do with the current weakness of sterling versus other major currencies. Imported fruit is no different to anything else you buy in supermarkets.
    I have to agree with the hit and miss comment though, particularly on soft fruits.:{
Does 6 refer to the amount of hours this stuff will last when you get it home .
Aldi are good value for most items compared to other supermarkets but the fruit and veg are generally very very poor quality
65p?these deals used to be cheaper
Had enough of Aldi now, Making tiny portions and increasing prices, A double whammy.
    Thanks op

Just wanted to write the same. You need to eat the fruit within a day otherwise its rotten.
Wow, sooooo good to see that we as shoppers do not get fooled and when the quality does go down and the price does go up we do see it and vote with our feet. Very true that the bottom price supermarkets that attracted us with quality at low price think now that they "have us" as customers and do not have to care any more.
Cheaper to buy 500g grapes - the 170g pack works out at £1.61 for 500g. The 500g packs are only £1.25 for the essentials and £1.45 for standard.

Aldi Super Six deals have been rubbish recently - I still do most of my shopping in Aldi though.

Most of the fruit I buy is fine, but the strawberries need to be eaten within a day or turn to mush.

They don't have a customer service desk or a toilet. Aldi are cheap for a reason. And, agreed, their fruit and veg is very poor quality and must be old when it goes on the shelves because it just doesn't last.
