As above for 2 weeks, they also had 400g strawberries for £1.29 and 5pack punnets of peach/nectarines for 99p in my store which I thought were good

Blueberries very good value £1.50 Asda equiv
Mushrooms very good value £1.20 Asda equiv
Sweet peppers very good value £1.80 Asda equiv
Cherry toms BAD value£0.37 Asda Equiv
Jersey Royal SAME as ASDA price

Looking at list apart from mushrooms, the rest are imports. Plus they are high value items they cost more to produce. And what's in the wholesale market is another. Remember £1+ lettuces recently.

Carrots and parsnips were 19p a few weeks ago instead of 29p to be in competition with Asda who were doing them for 20p.

The super 6 for Aldi are thier 'loss leader' product to get you in.

Don't complain. If it wasn't for Aldi or Lidl you would be paying higher prices for fruit and veg at all of the other supermarkets.

Fantastic! Blueberries are a fantastic deal and worth picking up some Gala apples too - thanks OP!:3

Does anyone know why the prices always fluctuate on these super 6 things? When I went in a few weeks back they are bags of carrots, leeks, triple packs of courgettes for 19p each or 29p each, it varied! But now these things are 3 times the price compared to other weeks...?

Jersey royal new potatoes 500g 65p

If it were half a tonne for 65p it would be too much.

I love Aldi, and not ashamed to say it

Asda have the cherry tomatoes at 53p for 250g according to their website. That works out at 74p for the equivalent Aldi size.

my recent experience is that the 53p asda 'cherry' tomatoes are just smallish normal tomatoes (bigger than standard cheery tomatoes) - not sweet at all - taste just like normal tomatoes

not saying this is a permanent thing but you need to check the size of the tomatoes before you buy them

if they are proper cherry tomatoes then the aldi price of £1.86 per kilo is fairly good value - I always look out for a price below £2 per kilo

the OP has his sums wrong as the asda 'cherry' tomatoes are £2.12 per kilo

if I had to choose one food I had to eat every day it would be cherry tomaotes as I love them

Quite simple, if they don't fluctuate the prices you won't have a variety - they are a business and need to make money (I'm still adamant that some of the super 6 are loss leaders)

Knocks Icelands' 7 day deal of 125g of Blueberries for a quid out of the water......

Who's complaining? There's a clear difference between complaining & asking a mere question.
