Brilliant post. Thanks

have tried a lot of their meat and not been dissapointed at any way i WAS a Sainsbury Snob lol x

The dry cure gammon are more than worth it for almost is not zero white smeg coming out during cooking

Makes a much better sarny

I know where I'm off too tomorrow! Thanks :-)

Great post inc the follow up with screenshots etc - very informative and oh so tempting!

My freezer is overflowing but I can't resist me a bargain! Have some heat.

Heat just for putting these all in a single post.

im with classy nurse there. quality of the fresh meat is spot on. not always so sure about some of the veg. saves me plenty over sainsbury, and no need to worry about have to find 3 for 2 ect. good post

Agreed. Fruit and veg can be hit and miss. Meat is pretty good though.

A can buy a gammon joint for less than £5 - it will go a bit further than the 2 gammon steaks

Olive oil and the premium tinned tomatoes are excellent......as is the gin

I find their fruit and veg to generally be decent quality but near the end of their life. If you're going to use it within a couple of days then it's absolutely fine, but I wouldn't wait much longer than that unless you've found a particularly fresh one.

And salad potatoes refer to baby new potatoes and similar. I.e. mainly good for stuff like boiled potatoes and potato salad etc.

Many thanks for your efforts with this post...love an Aldi shop so I do

Will be buying the lamb mince for a moussaka and blueberries for my brekkie...the gammon steaks are very tasty as are the beef strips.

love aldi and lidl!

Hi, I don't understand what you mean - can you explain? Thanks.

Most bacon and gammon is cured in brine and has white stuff when cooking, dry cure doesn't

heat from me need to restock on most items monthly paid on the 28th been oh so long since xmas

got the minced lamb, just making shepherds pie

good post, thanks for the pics/prices/comparisons - very helpful as not all aldi deals are great (often small pack sizes make competitors better value)

I'm Aldi through and through!! I find their fruit and veg to be excellent 99% of the time. My better half likes their meat (I'm veggie so can't say! And their recent addition of spicy bean burgers is also very welcome, they're very nice). Their vodka is also excellent, as voted for by my local Polish community on a Friday night, they buy it by the trolley load!! Heat

Don't touch pork products due to me having O positive blood group ! Not bad though !

Are these spicy bean burgers, fresh or frozen?

Thanks, going to give aldi a go for a month and see if it is actually cheaper

The mince is great for making Lamb Doner Kebabs as per the Takeaway Secret book.

I bought pork shoulders today and the stew is almost ready now. Thanks for posting.

Heat! Spicy bean burgers are special had them tonight...gorgeous! They are frozen btw

We bought a lot of these and they were excellent value. We used to shop at the very expensive Tesco. Not putting up with their over pricing anymore!

Popped in yesterday and had the shoulder steaks, they were delicious. Great price.
Thanks op.

was reading about blood type diets, got this quote from a nutritionist

Consequently you won’t find qualified nutritionists or dietitians recommending this diet.

I don't listen to 'medical experts'. I listen to what my body is telling me and my energy levels. Dr Kitty Little said that smoking does not cause cancer in 1998, so who are we to believe as most health professionals contradict each other anyway, most of these 'professionals' are in the pockets of major health product suppliers so that they can make a few quid from recommending their products to unsuspecting saps who think these 'medical experts' are salt of the earth. Well take it from me most of these health advisors are in bed with some company or other, trying to fleece you so they can hit their sales targets and pocket the commission so until we have a totally transparent and independent industry thanks, but no thanks. I rarely take advice from anyone in the industry as I can usually self-diagnose any issues I face(which I hardly ever have as I follow a good diet) and can self medicate using herbal remedies and vitamins. I haven't seen my GP in over 10 years so no offence but I will take my chances !

Nice post. Not sure if it is still on by pork and lamb are half price in co-op.

That's the 2nd funniest thing you have said. Anyone who believes in such a pseudoscience diet is an idiot.
