Rubi, I'm just gonna leave that there...

I think you will find this is for the DIYer not the pros.

But if you want to spend close to £300 go for a Rubi 75!

Powered ones are for doing cuts you can't do with these, eg internal corners, tiles with very uneven surfaces. Very slow, very messy and always cheap, think of them as an accessory to a proper cutter like this, not instead of and certainly not better.

These Aldi ones are massive and very heavy, great for big tiles.

I think you can get a Rubi for much cheaper than the mentioned £300. I am doing an upgrade of two bathroom at home and consider myself as DIY but would not do that with a £14.99 tile cutter. However, everyone’s own business how much they want to spend and what are their reasons.

It was a £40 tile cutter and excellent value at that, this is just Aldi doing what they always do and massively reducing specials that have been hanging around a bit. It's more than capable of doing your bathrooms without issue, I've just done mine in fact, unless you have some specialist tiles which need a special cutter.
Ruabon store has plenty of stock

You could look for a used one on E-Bay of course?

or buy new?

Yes, as I said you don’t have to spend this sort of money. I would buy so that I can cut a certain size of tiles and good. No need to buy a + £300 tile cutter but I want to have a good quality tool. This is just out of experience I guess, kind of buy cheap buy twice or you have more trouble on the job as you would have with quality tools. In the end it’s my time which is valuable and that’s how I see it. Seen good Rubi cutter for around £200 what is ok with me, I agree it’s not £14.99 but I like good quality tools.
