ALDI have got their Christmas beers in.

Wychwood - Bah Humbug
Hardys & Hansons - Rocking Rudolph
Jennings- Red Breast

The Bah Humbug is a wonderful Christmas beer. I can't comment on the other two.

I had a bottle of bah humbug last year and it tasted absolutely vile !!!
I don't know if it was bad or not but it was cloudy when poured and it tasted of burnt cinnamon.
Hopefully it was just a bad batch and I may give it another try.

I've heard good things about the jennings red breast.
I buy every year - looks like Rosie Nosey not being sold this year.
    Going to try this 2morro.
Wychwood's one of my favourite breweries, along with Eden up in St. Andrews. Does anyone know if Lidl do any seasonal beers at all?

Good fun beer brands. Not sure if I'd count £1.49 as a good deal for a bottled ale though.

My husband found that too but then had some which were fine. Emailed the brewery as its one of his favourite beers and apparently there were some which were an "A" batch number and some which were "B". The A ones were the good ones. B ones not so much.
    Wychwood beers are brilliant.

I'll agree that £1.49 isn't amazing but its better than the £2 to £3 per bottle that the main supermarkets charge.

I believe ALDI have Badger beers at £1.25 a bottle and some of their beers are fantastic.

Asda are doing a 4 for £5 deal at the moment with a good choice (though the Doom Bar gets cleared out pretty quick).
Asda and Sainsburys have also got £1 bottled ale deals. Sainsburys are doing Spitfire.

    There's a reason Spitfire is £1. It's bloody awful

hand on heart I have never seen £3 real ale at a mainstream supermarket, and I buy them all the time. Most if not all are under £2. So I have to say £1.49 isnt a deal as such but as its seasonal ales especially for Christmas I have zero complaint!! X)
