If you want youTube and Netflix at 4K THIS is a good deal, for me the H96 has better dual
band wifi,HDMI passthrough and the fast loading tv optimized T962e chipset.

My experience with many Gearbest orders has been ok. I'd suggest adding the shipping insurance at checkout.

I was thinking of getting the h96 max, is that the one you have?
I'm guessing this is not a true HDMI in and just a switcher?
Can you cast to this from a phone?
Bought the 3GB version of this from gearbest last September, after quoting their emails to their support rep on boards.ie and been told it had been delivered, it finally arrived on December 20th. The shipping insurance didn't mean a thing, it cost €40.18.
It worked for a day before the power supply gave up, common complaint from other buyers.

I would go with the Pro Plus with S912, 3GB and 32GB for about £50. Max at £100 ish is way too much for what it is.

No,ihave a V88 so the H96 mini will be an upgrade, couldn't see any reason to spend more as this should have the same
performance as the S912 and h96 max boxes for streaming, it's probably better to choose something different if you want a box for games.

Yes only switcher, easier to plug to than ones on the back of some TV's

Unfortunately this will not do Netflix HD/4k as it doesn't support Widevine level 1.
Why pay for NutFlux when you can get it all for free
The T962E is somewhat of an oddball SOC as it's normally found in TV's.

The HDMI in feature is practically useless because Alfawise do not provide anything in the firmware to match the recording options found in the RTD1295.

There is very little in the way of community support for this SOC/box, so custom firmwares will be thin on the ground and as 99% of chinese boxes do not perform out of the box as advertised, then expect issues and bugs.

Don't know if it will run Libreelec, which would be the best option as a media streamer.

You may well be better off going for something like the MXQ PRO+, which is around the same price, in stock in a EU warehouse (so no VAT Customs charges).

MXQ PRO+

I suspect that this is a box that is on a discontinuance clearout due to it not being very popular.

More info on the H96 here, which indicates so heatsink on the SOC, so gets rather warm.
