I did the same thing with the Xiaomi video doorbell and that or me in the UK just simply doesn't work. So, if anyone has any suggestion how to solve the issue I would appreciate that. I believe it is a China server issue. No live streaming at all.
I hope this one does the job properly...
mh I am in the google camp rather than echo, I assume this doesn't play nicely with the nest home or the minis as chimes... at least I can;t find anything saying it can

I remember someoen else having issues with wifi xiaomi devices, and they changed the region to singapore or something like the in the mi home app, the device then worked. Maybe have a fiddle there and change the region and see if that helps?
Is that a child's hand in the photo above? This looks massive!!

And a strangely elongated finger... ET 'Ring" Home? (I was getting my coat anyway.)
It also doesn't look like it's securely attached... someone can come along and take the camera quite easily

Shame it doesn't come with the bell.

When you initially set the device up, you have to select the China server, then it should work.

I had the same problem with a Xiaomi security camera.

Cheers, I have everything correctly connected to the Mi home app via China server and I am able to get the notifications but only 1 out of 100 when it actually can go live and I can press the button to watch live stream...

It's a known issue with no solution, there are two threads on Reddit about it
Willing to give it a try. But want a door chime to go with it. Does anyone know if you can get a door chime for this unit?
