No reviews and gearbest makes me sceptical

It's a preorder as it hasn't been released yet. The previous models were well reviewed so I'm hoping this will be upto snuff.
In regards to gearbest, they've always done me right, but I can understand your scepticism. I prefer dealing with UK suppliers, but on robot vacuum's you just can't get this kind of value.
Does look good
Like the look of this, anyone know roughly what the customs fee would be if its caught on the way in?
Received mine today, all set up and looks good so far on vacuum. The mapping works well and the choice to set a room to clean is great.
Tried the mopping function but no water is being fed to the mop on the bottom of the unit.
Has anyone else bought one of these and had any luck with mopping?

I am hoping not, delivered by DHL today, didn't ask for any money !
I didn't get taxed either but I used the royal mail option (the cheaper option). DHL are far more likely to check.

Have you tried the mopping function yet? Will be interested to know if you see any water behind the robot or even a damp floor?

I think mine may have a fault with the pump in the water tank.

Zones work great but hope that Alexa skill will offer option in the future to tell v10 to just clean one room like you can in the app.

I've tired the moping function and it works ok. You might have a dodgy pump, or hopefully something far easier to rectify. Get on to gearbest as i think there ok at answering questions.
Regarding Alexa, I doubt it. I don't think any robo vac has that kind of functionality so there must be a technical reason. I could be very, very wrong, and i do hope you're right.

Thanks, I've logged a support ticket with gearbest and sent over videos so fingers crossed. Hope they don't ask me to RMA the whole unit !
I purchased this on 27th Dec. It's not dispatched yet. Contacted Gearbest today and they said it will be dispatched on 18th Jan.

I ordered on the 8th December and it was delivered on 13th Jan, but I think they had a lot of orders and were waiting for stock.

What are your thoughts after using it? specially the mopping function.

Loving the vacuum side, mapping works really well and it steers round obstacles well too. I have only used it on lvt floors and mats by the door so far but it cleans well on both.

App is good, you can make zones and tell the device to just clean 1 or any number of rooms. It also shows a map of the area and where the device has been. (see attached pic).

Alexa integration is there but is limited, you can only say clean start or stop I think, can't choose rooms, etc.

I'm still trying to figure out if you can store multiple floors on it so that I can carry it upstairs to run it there occasionally too.

Mopping I haven't tested yet as my device seems to have a fault where it isn't pumping water. I am currently dealing with gearbest support who are being helpful and hopefully will resolve this soon.

@styler may have more info on mopping as his is working I think.

For the money it seems excellent value compared to others on the market.

The mopping was ok to begin with but recently the machine has been playing up while moping. Getting stuck on non existent objects, having trouble moving while moping etc. I'm going to have a Tinker with it this week as i suspect it's something to do with the mopping attatchment because it vacuums well, which is essentially the same thing in regards to movement, so I'm sure the movements fine. I'll keep you updated.
Thanks gents. Much appreciated. Regarding the number of maps it can store, I had asked this question to Gearbest and they came back saying it can store 901 maps. Check my question and their response there.

Thanks, I wonder how you create the 2nd and ongoing maps?
I'll try tomorrow putting it on a different floor and running a total clean to see what it does.

Just moved it upstairs and ran total clean, it deleted the old map and all zones !
Then created a new map upstairs.
If anyone knows how to create the 2nd map, please let me know.

I purchased this on 24th Jan. It's not dispatched yet, but I'm excited to get it soon to Sweden where I live.
Very interesting to read your tests of the Alfawise V10 Max, how its working. One thing I wonder is about storing maps.
I read this about a Xiaomi Mijia robot vacuum..

"The robot creates a map when it starts from the charging dock and automatically gets back to the dock when finishing cleaning. If you place the dock on the first floor, the Xiaomi cleans and returns to the dock on its own, it will create one map. For the second floor map, place the dock manually upstairs, let the robot starts cleaning from it and finish cleaning by docking itself. Now you have two separates map and the robot will recognize its location when you place it upstairs or downstairs."

Is that something you have tried with the Alfawise V10 Max also? if it maybe create a 2nd map. Please let me know.
Otherwise we can hope that they are updating the firmware soon with that feature.

I'll give that a go tomorrow.
I tried moving the vacuum unit upstairs but didn't take the dock up there.
Thia made a new map but deleted the old one.

Tried it with the dock upstairs, it says scanning new map on the app and then removes the old map and creates a new one for the new floor.
When I took it back downstairs, it does the same, scanning new map and then deletes the old map.
So it doesn't look like it supports multiple maps like gearbest say unless there is another way of doing it?
